iOs 8.1 Mail app keeps asking for iCloud password

Scoobs Tried this. ICloud will not accept the dropping of caps from my iCloud password. So sadly no fix for me (iPhone 4s, iPad Air). Tnx for posting Scoobs.

It is your username not password. I mistakenly thought the same thing.

See that's weird for me because I recall using all lowercase on my email username a few times and it still didn't work I'm going to test another account with my daughters iPad which is experiencing the same exact thing on hers all I did was an upgrade and after the upgrade to 8.one is when we started to experience the password issue.

I will reply back with my results but I will try the same thing just logout reboot and log back in with a lowercase username not password I'll report back just to make sure that this is exactly the issue thanks guys prescient it

Stephen does your passport have a capital letter in the first character and have you had your password for very long time I have those two situations and since I've reset my password after logging out I haven't had that issue at all and it's been well over two hours typically happens right away you might try resetting your password after you log out and use a lowercase character for the first characterit doesn't hurt to try it

I had issues similar to this and the root cause appears to have been using capital letters in my iCloud username when logging into iCloud. After trying every troubleshooting idea this is what ultimately solved it for me:

1. Log out of iCloud.

2. Restart device.

3. Log back into iCloud using all lowercase letters for the username. (The password is still case sensitive)

Its been a full day now and I have not yet received the pop up!

Scoobs, fingers crossed 10 hrs in, multiple test emails and so far so good seem to be unpopped.

I had to do the same thing to iCloud that was on my laptop and since then (yesterday at 2:00pm). No pop ups. Thanks Scoobs!!!

+1 - I cannot believe this worked! The problem has yet to resurface.

Reporting back as promised. 24hrs in and still no pop ups. Looks like the lower case email solution you suggested Scoobs hit the nail on the head. Tnx again I have my sanity back!
