ios crash report due to a third party application

I had this issue today with a music app. I held down the home button and power button as to restart/reboot my iPhone. I waited until I saw the white screen and apple symbol. When my phone turned back on I quickly went to the app. Clicked settings and then clicked clear history. Twice to be safe. That fixed the issue.

I had the same thing happen to me. I called the 877 number and the guy told me, initially, that it would cost $39. When I asked him if I was going to have to pay for the service, he then told me it would cost $29. Fortunately, my phone died on me. Then I checked out ASC. So glad I did! Thanks for the fix adamfrombessemer. It worked!!!

The same thing happened to me too! He told me I had one hour before everything in my phone started to crash and not work. he wanted 60$ and said that was the only way. so I decided to try to fix it my self. I opened Siri and asked it to search something up on the browser. It opened a new page and allowed me to close the page where it was showing me the third party error.

worked for me, thanks hun, they wanted forty dollars from me. We're in the middle of June 2015 and this is still happening, thank God i had common sense to google the problem before i paid🙂

Yes, essentially this is ransomware. They caused the problem, they want you to pay them to undo the damage they did. But fortunately, there are easy ways around the problem.

Thanks for whoever is responsible for creating this document. I work for At&t on there IT Helpdesk when a user (internal employee) had this very message on her

iPad. I was able to get it fixed by using this method.

This was a very straight forward solution ... Worked great. Also, I had found that when you bring up Safari and quickly hit the + for a new tab, Safari goes to the new tab, allowing you to go Google the problem and find this solution. You could even continue using Safari as usual. Just don't delete the tab next to the alert tab.

I called the number that popped up and I only gave them my apple ID, nothing else. Should I be worry about that or am I good? I never gave out my password or credit card info.

Same thing just happened to me. Clearing history worked completely. Easy to do. THANK you, I can not live without my iPad!

I Had the same experience this morning. I thought it was related to the iOS 9 beta, but when I the foreigner aid I couldn't use my iPad until they purged the malware and reinstalled the iOS for $69, I smelled a rat.

I Cleared the cache and envy thing runs fine.

This worked!

Don't call the 800 number -they will tell you they can fix for a nominal fee.
