iPhone 6 Music Volume Drop After Notification

Exact same problem... bought my 6s less than a week ago and the volume is bugging the **** out of me! I like listening to my music so I can drown out street noise but the highest volume I get is low at best!

I have same problem.

when i play music the volume is very low, when an application notificate me then the music is loud, but next track the volume is low again.

I hate low volume

I think there is something wrong in iOS

My quick fix is to call Siri by pressing the home button a couple of seconds, and once Siri is up, repress the home button to cancel it.

The volume comes back to normal.

and Yeah Facebook seems to cause this with notifications.

I don't even have the FB app installed, and Ii still have this issue.

If everyone who reads this post submits a bug report to apple they have to listen!

What seem to happen is the feature of the notification reducing the volume of what you are listening to in order to play the notification sound persists. When o get a second notification through the volume goes to normal!

I'm on a 2-day-old iPhone 6S, running iOS 9.1 and Facebook v42.0 and just experienced the issue again this morning.

The issue was slightly different this time. Was listening to music, and I opened the Facebook app. The music volume immediately lowered. If I closed Facebook, the audio returned to normal. I was able to replicate this issue several times by opening and closing the Facebook app.

Open your Facebook app on the iPhone.

Click the 3 lines on the bottom right.

Click Settings.

Click Account Settings.

Click Sounds.

UnCheck In-App Sound.

This should fix the annoying volume decrease every time you open Facebook while listening to music.

Thanks CurtGentry, that did resolve that issue. Although not at first. I had to manually kill both apps, then open them back up and test again and all seems well now.

Disabling facebooks access to the microphone seems to solve the problem for me.

Thanks Simon. Switching the Bluetooth on n off worked for me. I had volume drops when using Facebook.

i have an iphone 6s IOS 9.01 and have this issue even when i had iphone 6 w IOS 8+ only thing that seems to fix it is when someone sends me a text message while on home screen. Volume up doesnt work. Apple cmon now...

Same problem here. Iphone 5c, 9.1. The fast forward trick and the siri one works for me, but I don't have te Facebook app, in my case it's the Whatsapp app what is causing problems.
