Same here!

Bought an iPhone 6 in the last 8 weeks, worked much better thatn my 4s as far as battery life. It lasts nearly 2 days compared to barely one day in my iPhone 4s days.

Since upgrading to IOS 8.1.2 - the phone doesn't last 12 hours on Standby! If I make a few calls, I'm lucky to get 6 hours from it - There is something seriously wrong with the latest update.

Apple please sort this out or THIS WILL BE THE LAST iPhone I ever purchase. Need phone for work and now it's almost impossible to rely on it!

Yes, I got no apps to stop at all because it is a newly recovered system. I disabled all possible features and turned on aeroplane mode. Not everyone is suffering the issue, you don't have problem doesn't mean we don't, I believe you are not having issues, but that doesn't mean it is not happening to us. You should feel happy for being OK but shouldn't attack us because we complain.

Apple's executive is following my case now, so thank you.

TThere is a lot of people posting here with articles about how to save battery. Look, guys, before post this, you should know that we also searched at google, and we have tested a lot of ways to save battery. BUT, it's not about saving battery, this is a issue caused in some phones after updating to the new iOS. If you don't have this issue, having it it's not a matter of choice, just happened.

I Really appreciate the last article with a simple test about the battery, but it's not applicable in this case, because my test was OK, and the phone still draining the full charge battery after 3 Or 4 hours. It's not about saving because until one day before I update, and also for many users here, this issue was not happening: I could use all the great BG refresh, push, and other stuff that drains battery, and it was still having some charge at end of day. Now, it's impossible to use a nike running, for example for more than 20minutes. If I turn on the counting steps of the new medical apps, it will be ****** at at the noon.

before this iOS, was a great phone, less than 6 mints of use. Now, it's a crap that I barely use Because it just don't lasts.

bope apple is following this forums. If it's not, maybe I am one step closer to change to Android.

ONe question for everyone on this forum.

I am facing problems regaridng the battery drain, but what worries me more is that one the battery comes to 7-9% it shuts down. since recently it never goes to 1%. TheN once I put the phone on charger it always turns on immediately and it shows 9-10% of battery.

COuld this be the battery damage? It is the software?

I Have tried all things mentioned before your post with no results. My phone goes flat everyday at work iphone5s it used to need a charge every 1-1.5 days depending on data use. But since ios8 started I have had a heat issue my phone gets so hot I can barely touch the back sometime. I have had this one year now. I hate the phone it is the worst Apple I have had. Also my phone bill has increased I am using four times the data without any changes in my usage or apps. I use wifi 90% time. So I started manually disabling cellular data each time and somehow it still uses 4-5GB a month I never in five years of iPhone went over 1gb. Think I'm changing phones unless another solution and apology comes soon. I will try the few minutes to see what happens

AMISHCAKE I don't see how telling people this doesn't happen to you and posting a link to things we have all tried repeatedly can be explained as helping. The hundreds of posts on this issue isn't enough to get Apple admitting fault. The bottom line is we are all buying the top of the range phone costing as much as a laptop we shouldnt have to constantly change all settings and have no apps on an apple one year later just to get it to work. That's what $50 phones do

Guys, yesterday I talked to apple via chat. After reporting for the second time this issue with the battery, they suggested me that I should go to a Genius Bar and, after their tests, I could replace the phone. I think this is the answer I would like to hear, and for sure I will update and make all the tests with the new phone inside the store.

Apple changed a lot.

Same problem here, I tried EVERYTHING (reset, erase network settings, restore, install as new ....) it is definetly an IOS problem (since my serial number does not belong to the batch to be replaced). The phone is totally useless, I may have 6 hours battery ... max or just 3 .... cannot work. Bought a cheap Android device .... I least I can work with it ... that was my last iPhone, that you can be sure (since apple releases buggy firmware and is unable to fix it in a timely maner) ... and yes apple, you loose a good customer (iphone 3G,4/4S/5S/ipad 2 / ipad 5 and mabook pro - this holly crap of Yosemite also killed it ....no more wifi ....back to ethernet cable ...). Never again APPLE, never again.

Nope, it's not an iOS problem. That's an illogical conclusion, based upon your limited understanding of basic troubleshooting and technology.

If it was the iOS, then all other units running the same iOS would be affected... i.e., millions of devices.

No one here cares if you choose not to use Apple products. Use whatever you want. There are literally millions of iOS devices operating properly everyday, without issue. You having issues with yours suggests either:

A) Bad luck on your part

B) Bad troubleshooting and testing and understanding on your part
