I Went to the Apple Store to find out about that Sensor Test for TechTool Pro 8 & there gonna want me to bring the Whole Computer to the Apple Store cause they said those #'s should not be reading 0's & I also told them there were #'s that were reading 0's & they Passed but they said it can be a False Test & they don't know for sure cause they want to do the test also with there Equipment & see if everything is ok & i told him that I Never get any problems at all with my iMac Computer, he say's if it Failed my iMac Computer should be Shutting Down & not want to Turn On but that never happened with me cause i'm not Experiencing any of those problems at all, probably TechTool Pro 8 Will probably come out with an Update to fix that Problem but i'm not gonna be able to bring my Apple iMac Computer in until Summer Time maybe by then everything will be fixed will see??? so i just thought i'll let you know what's going on.

Thanks for letting me know; one thing you will have to do before you take it in - just in case: make a current backup on your G drive before you take it in. They sometimes forget to tell you that. Now, nothing really should happen, but, you never know, so I would not take it in unless I had a complete backup. In this case, a clone would be best - do you still have Carbon Copy Cloner? And what does your G drive look like - do you have one whole partition or do you have a separate one for a clone or Time Machine? Post a screenshot of your G drive in Disk Utility, ok.

Don't worry about it...... make sure you format those drives for the Mac, ok. If you don't remember how/what to do, let me know. And, since you got several, you can use one for Time Machine, another (or a part of one) for a clone with Carbon Copy Cloner, and then another (or part of one) for other backups. Sounds like a good plan. 🙂

I Need to talk to you about My TechTool Pro 8 About The Failed Sensor's Recently Today I Updated My Apple iMac Computer to 10.10.3 & After that I Checked TechTool Pro 8 on the Sensors now it say's 7 Failed Sensors but Wait they Added another Sensor in the list that was not there before & this is a Very New TechTool Pro 8 Version & in the beginning the Results may not be true in the Beginning cause it's a New Version maybe??? so i think TechTool Pro 8 needs to come out with a new version to fix the problem. 🙂

also i'm not really getting any problems with My Apple iMac Computer, I Never Experience any Shut Downs or The Computer Turn's off Automatic, i never experience those problems at all, I Think since I Updated My Apple iMac Computer to 10.10.3 Apple Added that Extra Sensor in there

so if there Adding to the List & there has not been any update on TechTool Pro 8 yet, only 1 Update on it before i bought TechTool Pro 8 Then maybe this is a False Reading ??? maybe & i'm not truly getting any problems with my Apple iMac Computer unless it's a Silent Failure waiting to happen maybe??? but then i would some how get problems on something but still no problems on my side so I Was thinking about this??? & since the 10.10.3 Update My Apple iMac Computer is Running a little bit Faster & Smoother now. 🙂

so what do you have to say about this 1???

Glad to hear your update went well. Be very careful about the new Photos app - before you do much of anything there, make sure you backup all your photos on your G drive, ok. And, if you have a question, post it in the new Photos forum. I've looked at the app and decided not to use it because I need better editing tools, so I'll stick with what I like for that.

Well, I think I mentioned this before: there really is no need to run TechTool Pro or any other software like that unless you have a problem. Those apps are not infallible - meaning they can include false readings and aren't really anything to worry about. I just checked their site and you can read what they say about the new version (including more "sensors"):

Byron, as long as your Mac runs well, don't run those softwares - have them if you want to run if you experience some strange behavior, but there is no need to do this on a regular basis.
