Hidden RAW files in Photos

After upgrading macs I have been forced into Photos from iPhoto

I shoot in both RAW and JPG but prefer to work on the RAW files so often just delete the JPG's

When I import into Photos from my SD card I can only view and edit the JPG files though the RAW are still present.

How can I either view both so I can select to delete the JPG files as I wish and also so I can edit the RAW files?

the Images which have a hidden RAW file have a small J in the lower left corner

Sorry to piggyback/bump this thread, but sInce "upgrading" to Photos I've noticed that the RAW files downloaded from my camera (Panasonic FZ150) are no longer findable anywhere on my computer (2011 mac Mini, OSX 10.10.3)! In iPhoto they were in the Masters folder within the apps Package Contents folder. But there is no corresponding Masters folder for Photos. Inexplicably though, the Photos info panel file name for each image contains a .RAW suffix. So if I'm actually importing RAW files and editing them as such before exporting as JPEGs, what is happening to the original RAW files? I want to keep them but a Finder search turns up nothing.

While I'm at it, how can I restore iPhoto if I need/want to? I had version 9.6 before installing Photos, but I can longer launch it, or find a newer version to download/install. Thanks for any help you can offer.

the RAW files are in your Photos library - direct access is not and never was supported

You can use the RAW as the original by selecting a stacked image, clicking edit and under the image menu selecting use RAW as original

You can find al RAW images with a smart album - Photo is RAW

You can go back to iPhoto by launching it from you applications folder if you have version 9.6.1 installed - if you do not see Why won't my iPhotos open?
