Calendar first and second alerts still switching on its own!

Is anyone STILL having their calender 1st/2d alerts switching?

It's been a Known problem for years now..

Still using iOS 7.2.x and not planning on upgrading to iOS 8.x considering the on-going issues with that newer iOS!

Sometimes, the alerts will stay the same correctly...

For example...

1st alert... 2 days before

2d alert... 1 day before

Then update manually until event begins.

Sometimes, it'll still switch!

Sometimes, it won't switch if you set the alert parameters further apart...

For example...

1st alert... 2 days before

2d alert... 2 hours before

Then update manually until event begins.

Anyone find any Permanent solutions?

It's Unbelievable that Apple Still did Not correct this glitch!

Thanks!

This is a fairly recent bug for me on the last couple of iOS updates on an iPhone 5, then my current iPhone 6 (iOS 8.3). Having looked back at how long this has been an issue, I'm completely shocked Apple haven't fixed this yet - completely unacceptable. In my case, the dates/times for the 1st/2nd alerts reverse themselves, then neither alert goes off - has caused me to miss a couple of appointments before I figured out what was going on. How hard can this be to fix, really?

3dit0r - I'm still trying to get someone to clear up my confusion on this. The first part of the issue is that the position of Alert 1 and Alert 2 switches after they are set. Is that accurate? I have not noticed this, but then again, whether one alert is #1 or #2 is unimportant to me.

The second part I get - the alerts do not go off. This is something I have never experienced.

@OldGnome - on my iPhone, they randomly switch (sometimes, sometimes not - which makes the whole thing unreliable). When they do switch, neither alert goes off - this is the critical part, frankly I couldn't give a monkeys whether they display in the correct order as long as they both go off, as that way at least I won't miss appointments I set alerts for.

@stedman1 - yes, I've left a bug report at the Apple feedback site.

I should add that, when the alerts do decide to switch themselves and I notice and try to change it, no amount of editing those alerts will get them to stay in the correct order, even reversing them doesn't work. Absolute madness.

Well, that's interesting. I've found that after the initial reversal of alert times, any second attempt at changing them back will work. I've tried this on an iPhone 4 and an iPad 2, both running iOS 7.1.2. I'll check it on the iPhone 5C, running iOS 8.3 later today.

I set two alerts thinking if I miss one, surely I'll get the second, but noooo. So I missed a doctor appointment I had scheduled months ago. So now my iPhone is costing me more money than it's worth. The 3GS changed my life and now each version chips away at my loyalty to the Apple brand. (iPhone 6 64GB ver. 8.4 p.s. I refuse to upgrade again as each release has caused problems with my 2015 Leaf Bose system, but that's another thread).

THank God I'm not crazy!! When I called support they told me I "was doing it wrong". Really?? I have kept these dates reoccurring for years and they worked fine. Now they switch automatically etc. I even booted up my iPhone 5 took a screenshot of how they were set and how they are now changed. I touched nothing. nice Apple. I can't afford to miss meetings or appointments!!!
