Touch ID no longer working with iOS 8.4

AS the title says. I updated to 8.4 on my iPhone 6 and Touch ID no longer works. I tried some of the suggestions that were online referring to similar problems meant for people when they updated to 8.3.

TThey don't change anything.

anyone else have this problem?

Dave, can you advise how you fixed this issue? Apple guys always ask me to perform Soft/Hard reset each time I face issues, but I dont understand why they are not interested in troubleshooting.

My TouchID responses weirdy after I lefy my 5S unused for an hour or so... I already tried soft rest and reinstalled fingerprints, but this is not working. Please advise.

I have same problem. Appeared after last upgrade. Thought it was caused by new new applications downloaded. Seems not.

Have done soft resets many times. It worked at the beginning. No longer.

The fingerprint application stops working.

If you go to config doesnt even show the finger prints. Though after some of the soft resets they reappeared.

Apple, hope you fix soon. Real PITA not having it

Apple Team!

After installing iOS 8.4, my Touch ID has stopped functioning.

I did try all possible solutions listed out in this forum:

1. Restored my iPhone thrice - no luck

2. Deleted existing finger pints - no luck

Now when I select add new finger print, it says failed try again later.

I have trying for more than a week now but no luck.

Kindly let me know what needs to be done in this case. Any help please...

Apple isn't here. This forum is a user-to-user forum. Since you've restored 3 times. Deleted and tried to reinstall finger prints, without any luck. Your next step should be to schedule an appointment at your Apple Store Genius Bar. If you have iPhone 6 or 6+, it's still under warranty and if found to be defective, Apple will replace it.

I had the same problem after a recent upgrade - I couldn't use TouchID at all, and I couldn't record any new fingerprints. I tried all sorts of things to fix the issue, but it just wouldn't read my fingerprints at all. In the end, it turned out that taking it out of the case solved the issue - TouchID is back to working again. I've had the same case for a while. It appears to be a bizarre coincidence that my case started causing issues shortly after an upgrade. I put it back in the case and it's fine now.
