Songs listed in Apple Music, but unplayable

I've noticed some songs/albums are listed in Apple Music search results, but when you go to try to play them they are greyed out, and when you add them to a playlist they are also greyed out with a status of "Waiting".

Example: the artist Deadbeat, only a few of his EPs and singles are actually able to be played. The rest are listed but greyed out when you go into the details. The funny thing is, all of this is on Spotify.

Could be a rights issue that could get sorted out but it's a bit disappointing to see music that is available on Spotify for free but not available with an Apple Music subscription.

Just talked with Apple support on the phone and they confirmed that a lot of songs are still not licensed for streaming on Apple Music but they are available to buy in the iTunes Store.

I think it is irritating because the same songs are available for streaming on other services like Spotify.

This "you will have access to our complete catalog of music" is just BS advertising.

Here are the steps I took that fixed this issue for me.

1. Update iTunes

2. Turn off iCloud Music Library on device and in iTunes

3. Log out of iTunes and then log in again

4. Turn on iCloud Music Library on device and in iTunes

5. If done correctly, updating should begin again. Do not lose connection or halt updating process or you'll have to do this all over again. Update/uploading icon will be in top right of iTunes. Click on it to check out its progress.

Hope this helps. The other steps people gave were not working for me until I added these steps to it. As for licensing issues, nothing else will work for that.
