This situation is truly unacceptable.

Nobody (!) can change store easily and Apple doesn't seem to understand such an obvious flaw.

Hello Apple, we really have a problem and we are ones who are paying you.

Spotify is not the answer for me, I want to stay with Apple.User uploaded file

I have same issue between my iPhone battery issue and now this I think I will be leaving Apple very soon going down hill lately for not a cheap product

I always buy the top of the range phone with max memory

I’m so disappointed with the product and these silly

Stuff like wait 3 month s to change store it’s ridiculous

It’s becoming like a second rate company lately living off the good work layed down years ago

Yep, because of this very disappointing experience of using Apple Music, I'm leaving the service, turning into Spotify, and subsequently because of mine being on Spotify, I gave up buying HomePod which I have been eyeing for a long while. This is how bad user experience triggers a much bigger problem.

Wait until other people have the same react as I did, then Apple would change it, and the(or some) product manager would get fired.

Many people in this thread said that using the method like in browser search for an app only exist in another country, click the link to app store and the prompt message will ask you to switch stores to another country.

This method I don't know why not working for me. I can get the prompt message and the store really changed to another country. However, when try to down an app, it still prompt another message saying your account still in original country, and ask you to switch back to your original country app store.

For me, using a link searching another country app and link to it, answer to switch app store is not working..... I can change to that another country app store but still cannot download an app there......

What’s most outrageous is even till today, after four whole years you posted the problem on here, apple has NOT done anything about it. I subscribed Apple Music in China, but when I came to uk and wanted to download some apps in uk store, it still doesn’t work! I can’t change my region until the membership expires. That’s unbelievable. They can personalise all these user preferences but not this. Apple is really not helping go international in this case.

Is this for real?

3 years and over 2300 replies later and nothing has happened?

I've just moved back to Australia from UK and need to re-download the ANZ App for Australian Store. I also have a yearlong subscription for Apple Music expiring in April 2019...

So this is saying I have to wait until then to be able to do necessary banking procedures on my only phone? No ******* way. Apple should be ashamed. I am never endorsing or buying any of their products and services again. This is the final straw as a loyal consumer after 10+ years. I am done.

Can I not simply remove Apple Music from my phone so it doesn't have to wait out for the expiry? I really desperately need to access that app on this phone.

This is cazy. This thread started in 2015 and this is still not fixed in 2019?? Incredible. Are apple user meant to be sedentary individual that are not relocating anywhere else in the world? I have two phone UK and NZ and need both apple store to update new release of various apps including banking, transport,... Apple you are not making it easy for people like us. #getittogether

Yes man, it's really not cool to be coerced like this, where is the customer freedom in such a policy ?! I would honestly prefer to cancel this trial right now, and start paying... If I was given the chance to change countries ! Put a customer is such a situation is terrible... Not a good policy at all...

I preached for Apple all my life, I believe in them.. Steve Jobs is a true inspiration to me, and I am sure this is not something he would have wanted.. You just don't impose stuff like this on customers... A customer is the one paying the bill in the end, he should be treated like a KING !!!

Guys, you have two ways of contacting apple that I know of http://support.apple.com/ there you would expect a reply. And https://www.apple.com/feedback/itunesapp.html where you can say how disappointed you are.. The more people give feedback, the more probable it is for management to know how mad we are about this policy... Customers are kings, we don't have to wait for anything, it is us paying the money at the end of the day...

I can't agree more creml, same with me.. Because of my country I get proposed Tamil and Bollywood music... That's terrible. Apple should build a way to change the "cultural context" without changing apple id countries... Maybe someone from Bangladesh likes the US culture more then his own, then he could choose in "Cultural Context": "North America".

Many people today have become Global citizens, that is exactly what Apple is missing... Please write them here and explain your case ! If enough of us write them, they will listen... https://www.apple.com/feedback/itunesapp.html

you can try this-

open this his link on your mobile or iPad and it will ask to change store and you can click confirm and then boom your store is changed. Try it and let me know.

https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/tidal/id913943275?mt=8

if above link is not working, just search any app that is available only on US. In my case, I was searching for Tidal app. Search on Google, click the first link that takes you to app store. Then it should work.
