MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Late 2013), OS X Yosemite (10.10.4)
Running iTunes 12.2.1.16 and I'm encountering the same error as well.
God bless it Apple...
Same error over here as well. Makes no sense!
Receiving the same message as everyone else. Just started this morning. Its really annoying as it pops up every few minutes.
I also noticed after the most recent update which introduced Apple music they've completely removed the Match button from the iTunes player. Its now only in the iTunes store under purchased items!
same problem all day. this is so annoying
I am getting this message too. Thought I needed to turn my firewall on or something? Its still not working. Hope they fix this issue soon!
I have the same error. I cannot use iTunes For You (the songs just skip as if downloading and then its the end of the list), cannot play anything in New, can use Radio stations, none of my playlists or My Music appears. Everything OK on iPad & iPhone so appears to be Mac related. Apple you need to fix before the Music trial finishes otherwise my subscription goes to Spotify
Same error as well... !!
Everything was ok until yesterday 😐
Same, needs to be fixed ASAP
Same problem here.
I have this error popping up as well. I updated to the El Capitan beta a few days ago -- I'm wondering if it is associated with that? But it doesn't sound like y'all have done the same, so I'm not sure.
Having same issue and I'm not running iTunes on any other computers other than my macbook air (but am running it on 2 iOS devices and 2 appletvs)
Adding my voice to this as having the same problem and I want Apple to see that it may be a relatively large issue affecting many people. Nothing is more annoying than trying to work and then the iTunes icon bouncing because Cloud Music is down even though what I'm listening to is my own local library.
That said, over the years I've been fine with iTunes while complaints had been mounting against it. With the latest updates, I'm seriously considering an alternative player. I dislike the fact that I can't turn off the dumb Biography panel that appears when looking at my own music or the fact that if I'm scrolling through my collection of an artist and I decide to play a track, it plays but then a few seconds later, it scrolls automatically back to the top and then to top if off with the corruption of my music library.
I liked Spotify but not enough to pay for it and was leaning towards getting an Apple Music subscription after the trial was over but iTunes is the reason why I'm reconsidering.
Agree. Wanted to migrate to Apple Music but I'm starting to have second thoughts. Not like if Spotify is that great, but the time they have been streaming compared to Apple Music removes the possibility of these annoying bugs.
Ultimately, the music service should be working all the time. Right now I can't access my the songs on My Library or My Playlists, what's the point of creating them in the first place!
tried this and it's worked so far...
open up iTunes
if you get the error popup, just click "ok"
sign out of iTunes (Account > Sign Out) - you'll see the cloud synced songs disappear
sign back into iTunes
I then click on "For You" then back to "My Music" and the cloud synced songs were back and working.
