I had the Pencil by 53 for a couple weeks and loved it and the Paper app, but it had 2 shortcomings for me:
- It was a big fat tip, making it difficult to be precise.
- The surface pressure is not real pressure sensitivity, because it seems to be based on the angle of the pencil and how much surface coverage the squishy tip was spread out and touching on the screen, not how hard you press on the iPad with the tip of the Pencil.
I'm using an Adonit Jot Touch 4 now with my Air 2, and it ticks all the boxes. I wish it was as precise as the Apple Pencil is claiming to be. I'm hoping they're the same screen technology so I can just buy an Apple Pencil and use it with my Air 2.
Any info on when we can see the Pro in stores for a demo, or do we have to wait until it's available in stores for sale?
