iPhone not recognized in iTunes 12.3

So I tried the fix it, now it shows Apple Mobile Device in the USB section of Device Manager.. but now for some reason whenever I open iTunes it freezes and stops working entirely?

I have windows 10, OS 9 on both of my iPhones which are 5c and 5s and neither one is working. They're connecting to the PC itself and able to load all the photos to the computer but that's about as much as they will do. This is very frustrating as I need to back up my phones.

Like some I'm on windows 7 with the latest iTunes and well nothing suggested in this thread worked. phone recognizes just fine on my mac but not on a windows computer.

tadaa my ***, first i don't have a "portable device listing" so what do i do now? There is NO apple product of any kind listed in DM, after several attempts at installing latest itunes, running win 7 cirrent....

For others, don't get caught out like me... I was looking in the \Program Files (x86)\ rather than the \Program Files\ directory - and that doesnt work as you wont find the \Drivers\ folder!

i had same issue and went and got new cable as one i had was freyed near connector like they all get.

still didnt fix it then i found this thread.

Hey Guys,Macdutson Pls my AppStore has disappeared from my iPhone 6,Deleted Possibly,due to this i cannot update Apps nor Download Apps,I've tried to Restore or Reset phone but it keeps asking me for restrictions passcode which i didn't set,4digit code to restrict Apps,i can't Reset nor Restore from iTunes or iCloud.Pls hw do i get my AppStore back on my phone?

Subject: Problems regarding downloading the iTunes.

I'm reinstalling iTunes again and again because of some errors.

I had downloaded it number of times, but again same error occurs,

i.e. "This iPhone cannot be used because the required software is not installed.Run the iTunes installer to remove iTunes,then install iTunes again.".

Now I'm not getting what to do because I had uninstalled iTunes, restarted my PC and again installed iTunes, many times, then also same problem occurs with me.

Detail of my PC:-

PC OS: Windows 7 Ultimate

Company: Lenovo

System type: 64-bit OS

Processor: i5

HELP PLEASE:( Where can I download the drivers for my iPhone 6+? None of the steps above helped me. I'm using Windows 10 with an iPhone 6+. After trying the above steps I receive the following message:

Windows was unable to install your iPhone

Windows could not find driver software for your device.

If you know the manufacturer of the device, you can visit its website and check the support section for driver software.

Can anyone help me please?

I was given this message:

Windows has successfully updated your driver software

Windows has finished installing the driver software for this device

Apple Mobile Device USB Driver

But nothing changed😟 The yellow triangle with the question mark in it is still beside the iPhone in Device Manager and when I go to the General tab it says the following:

Device status
The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)

There are no compatible drivers for this device.

To find a driver for this device, click Update Driver.

And then I go through the whole process again. It seems to update the driver but actually doesn't.

I'm booked into the Genius Bar for Thursday but I doubt whether they'll be able to help me:(

I'm running 12.3.3. I'm worried about the teardown and rebuild as I'm not very tech, is it hard to do? Will I lose everything or is it simply just like an uninstall reinstall thing? Thank you so much for your help tt2:) I've gotten further with you than I ever have before. Danielle

Yes, uninstall and reinstall. The steps I've given you won't damage the library. If you cannot make 12.3.3 work then take comfort that you're not alone, and that others have been able to roll back to 12.3.2 successfully and get everything working again. You can do it too.

Hi tt2, just wanted to let you know that my computer is still not recognizing my phone:( I went into the Genius Bar and we tried everything. They seem to think it's a fault with windows, but I just don't know??? Anyway, thanks so much for trying to help me. D

turingtest2 none of these things have worked for me, I cannot find Apple Mobile Device USB Driver anywhere for device but when I go to device services it is running. I had tried 3 different cords but it will still not work.

Close iTunes

Open Control Panel

Go to Device Manager

Drop down Portable Devices

Right click on Apple iPhone

Select Properties

Select Driver tab

Click Update Driver

Select Browse my computer

Click Browse...

Go to C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\Drivers

Windows does the rest

Plug in iPhone...
