ios9 wifi not working

Hello,

Since updating to iOS 9 I cannot connect to my work wifi. It keeps telling me the password is incorrect even though it is identical to my PC which is connected. I have an iPhone 5s 16gb. wifi at home works fine.

iPhone 5s, iOS 9

Take a look at this Apple Support article:

https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204051

Reset your network settings.

Settings - General - Reset - Reset Network Settings

Reset your device. This won't delete your data stored on the phone.

  • Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button
  • Press and hold on the Home button
  • Keep holding both buttons until the display turns off and back on with Apple logo on it.

Alternatively, you may go to Settings - General - Reset - Reset All Settings

I am here for supporting apple. We must have some logic to resolve the issue. Don't blame apple without trying to resolve the issue.

If any one has problem in wifi connectivity in ipad, please follow the instruction.

Turn of your WiFi in ipad..

Take your any android/iPhone mobile, turn on WiFi hot spot.

Turn on Your Wifi in ipad.

Connect WiFi to the Android hot-spotted WiFi or iPhone hots-potted WiFi. The connection will be success. Then later your connect the WiFi which is failed to connect.

Please contact me if it's still not resolved.

Well we have an open Guest WIFI access point, so there should not be any WPA2 keys in use I guess...

(But MERU is kind of special, all AP's are using the same BSSID for example..)

As I understand MERU has some kind of workaround ongoing, that is currently beeing tested/deployed at other customers.

But what I understand from all reporing in this forum, it's not a specific Meru issue, as other vendors also see issues with iOS9 and especially with WPA2-Enterprise or Hidden ESSID. (That's why I think this problem belongs to Apple, I might be wrong.)

So we will simply wait some time to see how the Meru workaround will work for other customers and if Apple might have some kind of fix coming up, before implementing any changes in our infrastructure for all users. (Not that many complaints at the moment, but the most users use older iPhone models 'not affected' and Android devices that's still works fine.)

However it would be very interesting to know if Apple do accknowledge that there are an issue with WIFI in iOS9 and some of the iPhone models.

Then we could plan accordingly for fixes that's needed or not.

I had a call to Apple support, but sadly they was not able to confirm if there is an issue or not.

So maybe we just have to wait and see what path to chose in the upcoming weeks.

(Guess the iPhone users experience this issue will use the 4G network instead.)

I'm having this same password/unable to join problem on 2 iPhone 5, ipad 2 and an iPhone 6. this is most certainly a ios9 problem and not a router or modem issue. all other non apple devices work fine on my wifi setup. ive tried every step offered in this thread to fix the issue and nothing works. however changing the wifi password and then connecting does seem to work, however it is temporary. for me it lasted less than 24hrs before it would not accept my password again. changed it back to the original password and it worked again, but temporary. its a pain to do this each day but its better than paying data overages.
