Ios 9 cant enable mobile data for application(s)?

I was traveling while upgrading my device, and most seem to work as expected so far.

Since I'm careful with roaming charges, I disabled most of the apps from the mobile data setting page before I left, so I could read mail abroad without using alot of data in the background.

After upgrading to IOS 9, I can't seem to enable mobile data for any new apps.

The ones that were already enabled, is fine.. they can be disabled and then enabled again, but for example spotify refuses to use mobile data after the update,

I've restarted, soft reset, and every time the mobile data checkbutton is back to off if I go out of settings and in again (and it doesn't work).

Anyone else have this problem?

iPhone 6 Plus, iOS 9, IOS 9, mobile data settings

I'm having exactly the same issue. Any apps that were switched off for mobile data use before the IOS 9 update will not now switch back on. I've reset network settings to no avail. Deleting the apps and reinstalling them doesn't seem to work either. I thought about using one of my recent backups to iCloud but oddly since the IOS update I no longer have any phone backups despite me previously backing up pretty regularly!

I agree, truly disappointing! The update pointed out three bug fixes (none of them related to the problem), and said there were other ones (not mentioned). I suppose there was no fix on this update that actually sorted out the current problem.

Sadly, it seems Apple assumes everybody can downgrade, and then re-upgrade. Apple's lack of accountability tells a lot on how much they actually care about the business.

Fortunately, my most used apps I've always kept with the toggle function set to on, so I can only sympathize with all regarding how frustrating it is to be wanting to make use of your device to its fullest, and not being able to accomplish such thing.

What a bummer this recent update to iOS 9 has been!

iPhone 5s -

I had the same issue, Whilst travelling (turning off half the Apps for data)

I've updated from IOS9 to IOS 9.1 which still has the same issue.

Debating if to downgrade to ISO 8 or Try and restore from a backup which had all Apps turned on beforehand.

I've tried deleting the App & re-installing but the same issue occurs.

Next steps I will try:

- Restore from previous back-up (with all app data selected /

- Wipe the device & try from scratch

- Restore from back-up

Last resort:

Revert back to IOS 8

If anyone has any suggestions please let me know!!
