Issues with "Groups" in Contacts after iOS 9 upgrade

User uploaded file

Hello,

I am having two issues.

1. My groups in contacts are no longer in alphabetical order after upgrading to ios9. I have tried removing them via the iTunes sync and then adding them again and all it did was resort them in another random order - not alphabetical. Has anyone else had this issue? Do you have a fix?

2. Contacts used to remember which Group I had selected for viewing. Now, after ios9 upgrade, each time I go into contacts via direct or by "Phone", ALL my Groups are checked instead of the 1 group I had chosen, so ALL my contacts appear.

Any input is greatly appreciated.

iPhone 6, iOS 9

I downgraded to iOS 8.4.1 due to this issue. Same on iPad, too.

From what I can tell the "techs" are in place help the masses who really don't understand how to use their device or are struggling with a new OS change. The tech I called about this issue was VERY willing to help, though I found this blog on my own. I don't expect everyone in any position to be "on top" of issues with Contact Groups because it seems only 5% of the total population actually use groups. If you have more than 50 contacts it's a no brainer to be using groups, though it 10000% ***** that you can't add groups, change what contacts are in what group via your iPhone or iPad. My helping tech knows about this blog, so hopefully "they" are watching and being proactive about the issue.

Like I've said before, with over 450 groups and over 8,000 contacts my frustration with this issue couldn't be any higher.

This dang behavior drove me nuts in iOS 8 until about the last update of iOS 8 then it appeared to be fixed. It stuck with the ONE group I had selected. Now, on iOS 9, back to having all groups selected, including "suggested contacts" which contains about a million (exaggeration) email and contacts that I DON'T EVER want to see.

Shame on Apple for allowing this bug to reappear in iOS 9. Shame on them.

I think that, any Apple code writers will read this issue.

My iPhone5 uses iOS v.9.0.2

But there is no any solution for the address group sorting.

I have 93 different groups (both personal and business)

Every groups seen unlogically sorted, I cannot find my requested group easily.

Every day goes bad... But there is no any SOLUTION...

Why Apple doesn't hear our need???
