iOS 9 Push Notification Problems

After installing iOS 9 the push notifications for apps like whatsapp are not working correctly.

No sound or vibrate when I get a message? which is rather annoying.

Also when I take a photo inside the app the volume for the music drops to zero.

I have a 6+ and a 6 and they both have the same problems.

Anyone know if someone is working on a fix?

iPhone 6 Plus, iOS 9, null

I am having this problem also on an iPhone 6. Push notifications and badge notifications are not working for several apps, both default apps and third-party. This is particularly a problem for Reminders as they are no longer indicating due and overdue tasks.

I've spoken to numerous senior advisers at Apple Support over the last 24hrs who have advised me that iOS engineers are looking into a bug fix for this. Likely to be 9.0.3 if not 9.1, cited to be available (hopefully) by the end of the month. In the meantime I'd suggest that the more people who can report this bug to Apple, the higher priority this will receive and sooner it will be fixed:

THE MORE PEOPLE WHO REPORT THIS THE SOONER IT WILL BE FIXED GUYS!!

These forums are NOT monitored by Apple, so posting on here about how it needs to be fixed isn't going to achieve anything. Be proactive and let's get this escalated and rectified ASAP.

My problem is particularly Facebook . We will have to wait for a new update. The app is updated , but the problem persists .

SO IOS 9.1 has arrived and I have signed out , removed deleted and reinstalled FACEBOOK and its settings including doing a NETWORK SETTINGS RESET on IPad Air 2 and IPhone 6s Plus

somlets see if PUSH NOTIFICATIONS WORK

oh and have turned off PLATFORMS for now.

I Really do hope I don't have to try a full Factory reset on both to make it work

i will probably wait for Facebook Update first before trying that.

ANY IDEAS anyone ???

Facebook's notification issues aren't related to the iOS9 notifications bug though. They've been a problem dating back to iOS8, if not earlier I do believe. Nothing new.

On topic, (touch wood) iOS9.1 seems to have resolved the notifications bug as far as I can tell.

Haven't missed a phone call, Whatsapp, email, text message etc since. Also the email bug seems to have been resolved, emails are coming through on iPhone 6S Plus (formerly with bug) at the same time as iPad Air (no bug).

Thanks to everyone that reported this to Apple, good team effort guys 😎
