After updating to iOS9 I can not sign into iCloud and restore my backup. Now I do not have access to anything on my iPad air. Any way to fix this?

I resolved this after speaking to Apple Support. The following does not delete any data or media. It will remove things like background, screen lock pin and wifi authentication - you'll need your WiFi password to hand before you do this.

1. Select Settings--> General --> Reset --> Reset All Settings

2. Confirm Reset All Settings

3. The phone will restart. Takes about 2 minutes.

4. Once restarted, go back inot Settings --> Wifi

5. Re-select your Network and enter your password

6. Re-try logging in to iTunes and/or iCloud with your username and password.

This worked for me. I hope it works for you.

Remember to re-add your screen lock password.

I have followed ALL the suggestions and still no go!!! When I try to log out of icloud or itunes, it gives me the pop -up. When I enter the password, the box "shakes" indicating the password is not valid. A geek friend told me to log on to my icloud acct on another computer to see if the password is still valid - I did and the password is still valid!!!

How can I log out of anything if the ipad is not recognizing my password?????

This is beyond frustrating. 😠

I got a 6s recently but i wanted my photos from my 5c back without the rest of the apps and stuff so I backed up my 6s to iTunes on my macbook and then wiped it so I could restore my 5c backup onto it. I got all the photos i wanted imported to my mac and went to reset my phone again so I could restore the 6s backup I just created but every time i try to enter my Apple ID password it comes up with the error connecting to Apple ID message?

I tried to reset it through iTunes on my mac but I need to turn off Find My iPhone which I can't do without entering my ID password which keeps getting rejected?

I know the password works and it complies with the new password requirements?

How do you reset the network? my iPad says it's connected to my usual network, however I keep getting that same error "There was an error connecting to the Apple ID server". Apple support said the servers were up and no maintenance was scheduled, nor has it been down at all today and I still can't get past iCloud log in. I fixed the time, changed my password, and finally ended up manually restoring my iPad with the help of Apple support. But it is stuck on iCloud sign in now, from the iPad set up post-restore. 😢

iPhone 6 IOS updated and phone started freezing and wi-fi is off. Tried to turn on wi-fi but the toggle is disabled. Tried to restore but need to turn off Find My Iphone; went to turn off Find My iPhone and entered Apple ID and password, got message an error occurred with iCloud verification. Tried to sign out of iCloud, same message. Deleted device from iCloud.com; phone came back when connected to iTune. Deleted from iPad, phone came back when connected to iTune. Went through these steps more than dozen times started Friday evening, all Saturday afternoon with Apple Support Chat, and phone, all Sunday morning at Apple Store with rep trying to recover. The phone is only 1.5 years old, and is deemed unrecoverable; logic board is corrupt is the conclusion. What a piece of overpriced, useless piece of metal; lost money, the entire weekend, and all other times the phone stopped working; stressed to no end for no reason. I have to pay for a new phone and I'm stuck with Apple because all data is now connected with Apple; more hassle to move off of it; it's a conspiracy. You'd think Apple will come up with something better; it was supposed to be designed to simplify lives but has caused more necessary stress to our daily lives. I still don't have a phone. where's the recourse.
