After updating to iOS9 I can not sign into iCloud and restore my backup. Now I do not have access to anything on my iPad air. Any way to fix this?

This what I did to get it working:

Go to Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings

Once it restarts, just re-input your wifi password. Go back into Settings and check ITunes & App Store, FaceTime, and iCloud to make sure that your Apple accounts are signed in.

Not sure what causes it but each time it does, I've reset the network settings and it resolves the issue.

I had the same problem on my son's iPad mini. I rebooted the iPad, then went in as other posters suggested to settings and reset my settings. It worked and I was able to get into the App Store and iCloud.

ALSO--I use Amazon Cloud Drive. I was uploading files on my desktop computer to Amazon Cloud Drive. I don't know for sure, but maybe this was conflicting with signing into Apple's iCloud and app store in my son's iPad Mini. Not sure because I'm not an technical expert. But just to make sure, I logged off the Amazon Cloud Drive before rebooting my son's iPad and resetting the settings.

Thank you for this: I don't know if it was coincidence or not, but doing this step actually solved the problem for me...and this was after a half hour of prowling the web and then 45 minutes on the phone with Apple support person who did NOT know what he was doing and was reading instruction manuals over the phone to me. I have to say, this is one reason I long ago gave up on buying apple care. I've purchased a macbook pro recently, along with an ipad pro and just got an apple watch and none with purchased extra apple care....waaay too many calls to apple support where the people knew less about the devices than I do. Thank you for posting this and glad it solved it for me.

My son's iPod touch kept requiring to be activated EVERY TIME it came on and each time I tried to activate it I kept getting the could not reach Apple Server error message. It worked a few times when I would connect it to iTunes using my computer, but that eventually stopped working. So literally EVERY TIME my son wanted to use his iPod I went through **** trying to figure out why it wouldn't work. WELL..... After reading everyone's responses I was able to figure out that it was a combination of things:

He had changed the date and time - so I corrected it (Apparently it's a "cheat" that allows you to get more money or extra lives in some games. SMH I used it as an opportunity to show him that cheating at things just causes more problems in the long run!)

I reset his Apple password

I turned off his ipod

When I turned it back on I was able to complete the activation process and enter the new password and, knock on wood.....ALL IS WORKING so far!

SO....THANK YOU TO EVERYONE!!!!
