iPhone 6S freezes after unlock

Hi all,

I received my iPhone 6S 128GB silver today and I have a problem with it:

When unlocking via fingerprint (which is very fast!!!) the home screen freezes.

So, it unlocks normally, the home screen with all apps shows up but then freezes.

It happens every 2nd or 3rd time I unlock my phone and when the standard home screen shows up.

It freezes for 5-6 second and no matter what I do, the phone doesn't show any reaction - even pushing the home button or the on-off-button.

I restarted the phone several times, "normal" and also restart with "home- & on/off-button"...

Is anyone of you having same issues?

cheers

I just worked for 3 weeks with a Senior iOS advisor collecting logs from my Mac and iPhone only to have them turn around and say the case was passed up to the software team and I would have to wait for an update. Basically they kept me preoccupied for 3 weeks without doing anything. Their suggestion was to wait for an update or replace the phone again, which would be my 5th phone. At this point I'm not sure what to do. It's funny that 3 of my phones came from the same factory of origin and all of them had the issue, but they pretty much dismissed that right away. Everyone just needs to call and complain. Publicity is the only way to get them to do something. I actually emailed Mr. Cook himself and worked through Executive relations for my entire case, which was really helpful in speeding up the process. The advisor I worked with before would email me every two weeks. This past advisor contacted me almost daily with responses. Oh well, good luck everyone. Hopefully it is addressed in the next update.

Do you know which A9 chip your phones had? After buying and returning about 4 x 64g 6S phones with the same lag issues, one common factor they all had was the Samsung chip and not the TSMC chip. I setup all as new iphones, tried resetting all of them, restored one from iTunes, all to no avail.

Both my fiancee and I have 64g 6S plus phones with the TSMC A9 processor and they do not experience any lag issues. Would be very curios to see if you have the N71mAP or the N71AP.

Get used to the lag. This is the future of the iPhone haha. It's been 4 months and they haven't done anything. Apple could have designed and created a new phone in that timeframe, but yet they neglect a huge issue that is impacting so many people. I've been an Apple fan for years, but for the first time the Samsung galaxy phones are looking pretty nice. None of my friends or family who have them have to deal with ridiculous lag everyday. This is pathetic how Apple hasn't addressed the issue.

Bought an iPhone 6s 128GB in space grey yesterday and am having exactly the same issue. Exchanged it once because the first one had a very poor display quality (low brightness and streaky compared to my work 6s) which did not resolve the issue. Worth mentioning that I restored from my iPhone 5 backup instead of setting it up as new phone. In addition, display quality is better yet still poorer than my other 6s and both are significantly worse than my colleagues' 6s. It appears quality control really went downhill over the last couple of years...
