iPhone 6S freezes after unlock

Hi all,

I received my iPhone 6S 128GB silver today and I have a problem with it:

When unlocking via fingerprint (which is very fast!!!) the home screen freezes.

So, it unlocks normally, the home screen with all apps shows up but then freezes.

It happens every 2nd or 3rd time I unlock my phone and when the standard home screen shows up.

It freezes for 5-6 second and no matter what I do, the phone doesn't show any reaction - even pushing the home button or the on-off-button.

I restarted the phone several times, "normal" and also restart with "home- & on/off-button"...

Is anyone of you having same issues?

cheers

Can confirm the same issue. I did NOT restore from backup, it was a clean install. Iphone 6s 64GB space grey.

I came here to write the exact same thing, the touch sensor is wicked fast, but every few times, I get a 2-5 second "freeze" on the home screen. Occationally I'll be able to hit an app before it freezes, and then it is jumpy in the app for a few seconds.

My friend just got his and complains about the same thing.

yeah, sorry, didn't know how to reply to all.

So I had 5 fingertips registered right after I started using it. There was no freezing before I added last four and the freezing stopped immediately right after I deregistered 4 of them.

SO MY STRONG ADVICE, LEAVE ONLY ONE FINGERTIP REGISTERED AND CHECK THE RESULT.

p.s./ my iPhone 6s Plus is 128Gb space grey.

I'm having the same issue with replacement 6s 64Gb space grey which I got on Sunday to replace one with a cracked screen. So it's been 4 days with WiFi, so it's not an indexing issue.

Have so far tried:

- upgraded to 9.1

- turned off Siri help in spotlight (thanks for that tip on this post)

- turned off all touch ID for now and deleted all fingerprints (I just came from an iPhone 4, so I'm used to entering that code in!)

- turned off LTE under cellular so that it doesn't support voice or data (that helped with another issue where the phone went black on a call and I couldn't get it back. Also strange pulses when trying to type in text messages)

- Handoff off

- Background app refresh off

- Lock and home screen set to a still photo

Still freezing. I find that if I use the side button to power off and on quickly, it get it going again (I set auto-lock to 1 minute to make that easier). But it can still freeze again. When frozen, the home button works, but the screen is unresponsive. The cursor still blinks if I'm in the middle of a message.

Anyone noticing that space grey seems to be more common than rose gold or other colors on this thread?

I just picked up my third iphone, fingers crossed for third time being a charm. Will report back once I set it up as a new iPhone.

ill install a third party app one by one to single out if it a certain app that is causing this issue, I highly doubt it as I have previously set it up with stock apps, no iCloud, no iTunes sign ins and it still froze.
