iPhone 6S freezes after unlock

I just want to say that it's a whole lot better. In addition to what I tried before (see below), I added back one fingerprint and turned Touch ID back on, and turned off every app in Spotlight Search. It's maybe frozen once in past few hours, compared to every single time in the previous four days.

What I'd already done:

- upgraded to 9.1

- turned off Siri help in spotlight (thanks for that tip on this post)

- turned off all touch ID for now and deleted all fingerprints (I just came from an iPhone 4, so I'm used to entering that code in!)

- turned off LTE under cellular so that it doesn't support voice or data (that helped with another issue where the phone went black on a call and I couldn't get it back. Also strange pulses when trying to type in text messages)

- Handoff off

- Background app refresh off

- Lock and home screen set to a still photo

Im having same problem Iphone 6s 128gb rose gold don't know what to do in my country there isn't any apple stores just third party resellers 😠

I Have to say that i get sad when i read à thing like this.

What's going on with Apple??? Is the Phone faulty Or is software buggy.

People gets worried that they paid alot of money for a bad phone. Is it so hard to give à hint to all people

if we have a software problem or a hardware problem.

I Have a 128gb phone that have a freeze at startup for about 2 sec. otherwise phone acts normal.

BUt it I want to have a hint what to think. Software bug well then not to worry but hardware problem then I'm worried.

ive spent hours to try fix this but I can just say that it won't help at the moment. My iPhone 6s is like this and it won't

get any better. i can just se a software problem but I'm not sure. Why do some people get past the problem??

Anyway I'm abit disappointed in Apple. Where's the Steve Jobs spirit.... Is the quality fading away?

im sorry to you that have a top phone and have to close all goodies because of crappy software or hardwar?

Also i noticed if i use the phone while its charging all lags are gone until i disconnect it.

Any solutions for this yet?

Have tried turning off spotlight, siri, deleted fingerprint, one fingerprint, changed wallpaper, backup, restore, and so on, still got the lag when using touch id to unlock. Seems to be when the phone is not used for some time, and then it will take about 2-3 seconds when unlocking before the phone reacts. Have noticed two when shortcut the camera from lock screen, also takes some seconds before camera is responding, maybe issue with standby mode?

Nothing seems to work with this issue, don't know if this software or hardware related???

Have you tried if it happens before you install any apps on your device? it could be a third party app that can be causing this.

I dont think there is anything you can do about it. The third iphone was a treat, but there is a delay on the status bar popping up once the iPhone is unlocked. I have not experienced any freezing as yet. All the best and i hope Apple sorts this out soon whether it being software related or hardware related, they need to address it.

Exactly the same issue here - after unlocking, the status bar seems to take 1-2 seconds to display, during which time the handset is unresponsive.

How annoying......

The third iPhone 6s Plus has gone back and in return I have purchased the Hermēs Cuff Watch and a stainless link bracelet, love the simple Hermēs watch face.

This is the first time in iPhone history that I have not owned the very latest and greatest iPhone. I am happy with my trusted iPhone 6 Plus that has not let me down once since its launch.

Has anyone tried 9.2 beta? I am keeping a close eye on this thread and once I read that Apple has addressed this issue and has a fix for it I shall then go out and repurchase the iPhone 6s Plus 128gb in Rose Gold, until then stay away from it.

Even on 9.2 beta the issue persist any apple developer here we need someone to read this!

Yeah same here, New Phone Yesterday, started phone as new phone and updated straight away to 9.1 (didnt restore from backup) freezes intermittently after unlocking. Have tried switching all the hard processing features off, Siri Suggestions, Reduce Motion and Transparency! however yes the phone itself is slightly faster though still freezes. So I called Apple thinking they might be upfront or have a solution. their so called solution is to reset my phone to factory settings. This phone basically is on factory settings other than having some things turned down!!!!!

I still having this issue after unlock with touch id the phone will randomly freeze/lag for 1-4 seconds.

Reset to factory settings even for a new iPhone will get rid of any bugs

Set back up over your WiFi .

also having this issue. The longer the phone has been on standby, the longer the delay until it's useable. Hope this gets a fix soon!
