iCloud Calendar locked/not available/not synching w/iPhone 6s

I cannot access iCloud calendar. I've gotten these four error messages at different times. My software is all up to date. Cannot synch Mac with iPhone 6s. I've had to go to Google, but this is a total pain!!!!! HELP!!

The Server is Busy or Unavailable

The server at p01-caldav.icloud.com is currently unable to handle the connection for account “iCloud” due to a temporary overloading or maintenance of the server. If this continues you should contact the server administrator.

You may try to connect to the server again.

The server responded with an error.

The server is currently unreachable or its name is incorrect for “iCloud”.

This was going on BEFORE elCapitan. Speaking of that, why did I upgrade to that just to get a bigger cursor, if I shake it? I cannot believe I left the PC world to be confronted with this crap.

I think if you were experiencing this issue prior to El Capitan's release, I would suggest contacting support and/or making an appointment to see a Genius specialist.

This problem started for me yesterday or the day before. I am on Yosemite on my laptop and still on iOS 8.4.1. So, while the cause of the problem may be an upgrade, it is affecting older OSs, too.

The error message has change for me, though. Now it says "Your calendar couldn't be refreshed. The connection with server p01-caldav.icloud.com has been closed. Try again later."

Same for me, and throughout the day it's been hit or miss but thankfully for the past couple hours, it's been doing okay.

I am getting the same message about iCloud. I'm glad to hear it's not just me. I've spent hours trying to figure out what was going wrong with Calendar. I have categories in Outlook's Calendar and it syncs to iCal by setting up separate calendars for each of the categories both on my MacBook Pro and my iPhone, which is fine with me. But, a few days ago all the separate calendars disappeared and nothing I do brings them back. At least I have the calendar information in Outlook 2011. But, I want to use iCal instead of Outlook.

I'm in the same boat - I'd like to use iCal but with this unfortunate event of iCloud not syncing since the release of El Capitan, I've sadly returned to using Google Calendar for my needs.

I certainly envy you. I've been 100% locked out all the time; sometimes it's locked out of iCloud all together; sometimes it's locked out of Celandar and Reminders. Frustrating!!!

Then I'm guessing it might be time to call Apple Support and get them actively involved in your specific issue. Like agnew_kata, mine has been working since overnight as well.
