ios 9.0.2 update -> Now touchscreen problems!

I updated my iPhone 5s 64g to iOS 9.0.2 from 9.0.1 last night over wifi, immediately the phone started misregistering my finger press and touch locations. The screen now intermittently opens apps, fails to allow the keyboard to be used correctly, will register touches when I am not even touching the phone. I had the phone in a lifeproof case (nuud) with screen protector (yes this is how it's supposed to be done!) - after the errors began I tried removing the case, removing the screen protector, and hard resetting the phone - this is NOT a hardware issue!

Hard resetting the iphone will sometimes clear the issue for a few minutes, then it begins again sporadically and intermittently - yet often enough that it is a huge headache to deal with. I can now pretty much only reliably use my phone through siri, and only then if I can get the phone to unlock from a hard reset! I spoke to apple support via chat, they recommended that I backup to icloud and restore the phone as "new iphone" and then only to restore data from the icloud backup. I made an appointment with my local "genius" bar (ugh do I hate saying that) though since this device is now outside of the 1 year warranty & applecare, And even though the update caused the error they will likely only replace the device with a replica for $269...

SUPER FRUSTRATED AT YOU APPLE!!! Give us a way to roll back these failed updates!!!

Update: When the iphone is plugged in to my macbook pro the touchscreen problems completely go away! possible emergency stop-gap solution... may as well tape my iphone to my macbook and walk around with it boombox-style. That's true apple swag.

I have the same exact issue with my iPhone 6 128gig. When I first installed update 9.0.one my phone was working great was loving iOS 9. As soon as I installed the update 9.0.2 I had a ton of problems my phone constantly freezes I can never use it anymore I can barely text someone without it taking 10 minutes to write a text it's unusable. Took my phone to Apple to the Genius Bar they said there was a problem they replaced my phone got my new phone restored it same exact issue because I'm obviously on 9.0.2. i've tried resetting the phone back to factory settings same issue I'm going crazy I'm ready to throw my iPhone out the window and going and buying a Samsung. There are tons of threads and tons of people having this issue it is completely ridiculous and you responsible for Apple to of not released an update for this yet to correct this issue the phones are continuously freezing and unusable and I'm experiencing the same exact symptoms as everyone else on this thread. It's mind blowing that Apple still hasn't released update 9.0.3 to correct these issues

Same problems!!! My iPhone5S is completely useless now. At first I thought, must be some settings I did not checked after upgrading to 9.0.2 but that's not the case after reading from all users. I was like "How the f**k my screen is sensing a touch without touching a screen ? I never bought iPhone50S with some future cutting edge touch technology 😝"

I cannot check any application which I use in my normal life. Really disappointed as I could do nothing with this piece of junk anymore.I hope Apple comes with an update in next 2 days else I will be forced to use my backup Sony Android phone on which I never had such problems.

"""Probably the main reason Apple is coming out with crappy IOS releases is they no more have Steve Jobs"""

Same issues here. Typing and touch screen in general locks up regularly. When searching for a contact, the screen locks up and I have been unsuccessful in looking up a contact since the upgrades - the screen simply FREEZES! Intermittant access to internet files (OneDrive and Google Drive), whereas in the past accessing these has been no issue, as well as the same issues that others noted. Resetting the iPhone doesnt solve the issue. This is very frustrating! Husband has a droid, and since the Apple OS is no longer reliable, there's no reason not to change on next upgrade.

yes after analyzing the iPhone 5 for a long time today by resetting it (sleep and home button)

i concluded that it automatically running all apps at a time

example -mail without opening the mail account it downloading new mail and giving new mail alert but when i see the back ground apps by pressing home button twice there are no mail running

i clearly say all apps automatically running at a time which giving pressure upon processor which arising the freeze of touchscreen

when we keep the phone unattended for some time it works normally only for two or three clicks then normally again processor goes much load and freezing

this problem i got after updated to 9.0.2

Question does anyone know how to fix this problem, other then waiting while apple fixes there new bug? For instance is there a way to revert to 9.0 or below. Every apple update seems to bring new problems wt it. I really find it hard to understand, why apple doesn't test their updates, before they release them nowadays. I'm also confused as to why problems only seem to appear on some iMacs, and devices. No speculation hear, as I know it will get the post banned, but I really miss Mr. Jobs. Quality control used to be priority for apple ...

I feel everyone's pain as my iphome 6+ (128gb) is just a piece of $900.00 $h!t after 9.0.2. Apple has my money and that's what they were after. I too will be moving my whole family to Samsung / android. Very disappointing to see a company like apple go down this path. Dodge, Volkswagon and their recent scandals come to mind. I would love to have a working reliable smart phone for the hard earned money I've spent or for any product for that matter. Everyone does!!! That's what we expect for the extra premium price we all pay for Apple products. I would appreciate a fix soon please!
