Huawei internet dongle not working in El Capitan

Necesito su ayuda!!!.. no puedo conectarme con mi modem 3G, y he intentado hacer casi todos los métodos descritos aquí!!

quiero ser lo más claro posible para que se pueda detectar en qué es que estoy fallando.

He desactivado el csrutil

luego ha tratado de descargar los archivos que aquí han recomendado, pero aun así no me ha funcionado nada.. =(

Mi problema principal es que cuando voy a las preferencias de red no me aparece como conectado el dispositivo

a pesar de hacer los pasos para crear un nuevo servicio..

Instalado el Mobile partner y aun no me reconoce el dispositivo!!:.. =(

Si estoy haciendo algo mal, por favor ayudenme!!.. mi modem es un Huawei E3531s

I face a different issue with my Dialog dongle. I tried to uninstall and install back then I get an error as attached. I tried the same dongle with a windows computer and it worked fine. Do you guys have any idea why I am getting an error like this? Would be great if you guys can help. Thanks in advance.

saludos si su dispositivo esta en la lista solo debe instalar la aplicación y al conectar el mismo la aplicación lo reconocerá y si tiene activado le pedirá el pin, si no lo tiene buscara su red y en la "cajita" que dice profile aparecerá el nombre de su proveedor, entonces haga clic en connect. No necesita "tocar" nada mas. Suerte

Le recomiendo regresar su sistema a su estado original, eliminar los cambios que introdujo, desintalar la aplicación y volver a instalar y proceder desde 0, de nuevo suerte. A nosotros nos funcionó

Seems to work on OSX 10.11 if the Huawei E173 surfstick is attached to the USB port before booting the Mac.

Buenas tardes amigos, actualice mi Sistema de mi Macbook Pro a OSX Capitan y perdí la compatibilidad con mi modem Huawei E3533s lo detecta pero no lo instala y no puedo usarlo aparece sin conexión y no puedo conectarme al servicio necesito su ayuda por favor amigos gracias.

Instale la Aplicación pero tampoco lo reconoce y es mas la aplicación solo me envía a una dirección ip 192.168.8.1 y lógicamente no puedo acceder porque no hay conexión a ningún lado gracias por su ayuda amigos.

You don't have to install the complete pack. Install only thre binarys from the pack:


MOBILE_CONNECT.dmg->Mobile Partner.app (right-click, Show Package Contents)->Contents->Resources->MobilePartner.mpkg (right-click, Show Package Contents)->Contents->Packages->MobileConnectDriver.pkg (install it)

And the same for Mobile Partner.pkg (add the icon into dock) and HWNetMgr.pkg

When you connect stick you must start with icon in the dock.

I own a Huawei E169 dongle. I didn't try the steps you suggested yet, but I can't find new drivers for my modem anywhere. Anyone with my device?

I experience the topic problem on a brand new iMac Osx El Capitan, while no problem with a vintage MacBookpro 2007 updated to El Capitan.

Hi all,

Posting here in the hope that someone can help me resolve the issues I am having with my new dongle! I'm trying to use a Huawei E173 connected to Mobitel in Sri Lanka, trying to pair with a Macbook Pro 13" early 2011 running El Capitan 10.11.3.

When I first plugged the dongle in, Finder wasn't even recognising it but I went through the steps recommended here - reboot in recovery, csrutil disable in terminal, install newest huawei driver I can find using mobile partner (v 23.015.14.00.983). Mobile partner at least now seems to be functioning...

Now when I plug the dongle in, I think Mobile Partner is at least recognising the hardware as it immediately flashes up with a message saying 'The device has been disconnected or is unavailable.' So I'm pretty sure it registers for a second that there is a related device there but then I can't do anymore. And the dongle is still not showing up in Finder as an external device, but the light is on and like I said mobile partner is recognising it, even if very briefly.

Does anyone have any suggestions about how to fix this? Not sure if I just have a hardware issue here - have had problems before between my macbook and a micro SD and that was solved by buying a SD/USB interface device - if so do I just need to buy a USB/USB connector? It's just both my USB ports pick up everything else I plug in there so they seem to be working! Any suggestions much appreciated.

You better update the Mobile Partner software to get rid of this workaround. An update for OSX 10.11 is available from Huawei (Version 23.015.....). A nice feature of this version is that it has an menu option to make future updates simple. After having updated please consider the following:

As usual, when inserting the stick a new window opens with the supplied Mobile Partner icon. It is the software package with the driver originally supplied with the stick. Clicking this icon either installs the Mobile Partner software coming with the stick on the local disk or it launches the Mobile Partner app installed on the Mac if the Mobile Partner software is already installed. Here is now the important point: After the update clicking the same icon leads to the query as to whether you want to reinstall the original software again. After rejection the updated Mobile Partner application on the local disk starts automatically and here you go.

As an alternative, you can connect without the Mobile Partner application via the Network Pane of Preferences. Personally, I prefer this method.

Or you launch it from the Applications window.

Please note: If the modem does not appear in the Network Pane (in your selected Location) you need to add the profile using the plus sign at the bottom of the window.

Were you using this dongle before?

I am using Huawei Dialog package. They gave me a different mobile partner application, because they said for 10.11.2 upwards the normal mobile partner is not working sometimes. You can also try that. Anyways let me know what is the outcome is........
