It happened the same for me, when I opened terminal I've got the "No such file in directory" message. However after copying/moving the drives from the original location as instructed, I've restarted my computer and the M-Audio fast Track Pro appeared listed under System Preferences > Sound > Output/Input drop down list.

Anyway I've also sold my M-Audio Fast Track Pro to a Windows user which I know it stills works without issues and decided not to buy from M-Audio again.

This is what I did to start my m audio fast track pro.It seems to me that this is the simplest solution possible.

1. Download the drivers from the http://avid.force.com/pkb/articles/en_US/Download/Fast-Track-Pro-Drivers

Releases 1.9.5.

2. Mount the ..dmg file

3. Run the uninstallation

4. Restart your Mac

5. Plug in the card into a USB port

6. Do not install any drivers

7. That's all.

For me this solution worked. No need to manually delete any files from the system.
