Q: can't delete billing address from wallet or apple pay

So moved over to the phone 6s, did a restore from backup, and have noticed that in my wallet, my apple pay credit cards are defaulting to an old address I had in my profile a while ago.  I have the option to delete, which I do and it keeps coming back.  Tried removing all my cards from apple pay, reinstalling, new cards, etc and the address keeps populating as an option, and every time I delete it from wallet, it appears whenever I go back.  This address does not exist in my profile anywhere in my address book, I even recreated a new profile with a different name (added my middle initial).

Any thoughts?  The only thing I can think of, which I don't want to do, it do a complete wipe and reinstall everything manually.

Click "Manage Your Apple ID" here and make sure your address is set correctly.

I'm having the same issue. Nothing seems to work, and I don't know where the old address is being pulled from.

    Hi

To change the default shipping address, email address or phone number that is used when paying with Apple Pay within apps:

    - On your iPhone, go to: Settings > Wallet & Apple Pay - update your information under Transaction Defaults.

To update the billing address for a payment card:

    - On your iPhone, go to: Settings > Wallet & Apple Pay > tap a card > tap the billing address.

You can also contact your card issuer to check your address details on their records.

someone please answer this. I am having the same issue. Lists an old BILLING address that is no longer in my address book OR the credit card company.  Called apple and as usual, USELESS. I don't accept their option to wipe my phone and set up as new thereby losing all data. And when i try to use apple pay, it say Billing address is incorrect.  APPLE, GET ON IT ALREADY. your millenials make big bucks, do you job and make your products work already.ENOUGH

These are the ordinary steps, but the point of the question is what to do when these steps aren't working. For example, my phone shows two (2) billing address. One is correct and one is not. If I delete the wrong one, it just reappears.

I'm having the exact same issue. Have deleted and added my cards multiple times, checked my Apple ID and credit card accounts to make sure my address is correct. When I delete in Apple Pay the address simply reappears.   Apple Pay doesn't work quite so seamlessly when you have to constantly make sure that it's using the correct billing address

I have this problem too. I moved into a new home, so new address, but I cannot delete my old address. This is super frustrating because one of my cards always defaults to the old billing address that I can't delete. Fix this please!

I had a similar situation.  If you go to contacts and scroll to your own contact, is it marked "me"?  If not, you can go to Settings > General > Siri and mark yourself under My Info.

If you look at your contact marked "me" in settings, does it contain the old addresses that you are trying to delete?  If so, try deleting them there and then from Wallet & Apple Pay settings.  Does that resolve it for you?

I removed my old address from my contact long ago and it did not do anything. I even went as far as deleting my contact entirely, which did not help at all.

I've done the same things and it didn't help me, either.

This was awesome insight. Didn't know how logically connected things were in iOS! Once you've put your correct address in your contact info, open Wallet up, click on the card you have the issue with, then it the circled i in the bottom right corner. Go to Billing Address and click Edit in the top right corner. Then click on the red circled - (dash) to delete the address you do not want. This will cure it!

I was able to solve this issue in two steps on iOS 9.3.1:

    1. Open Contacts. At the top, tap the contact that says "My Card". Update the address info there as desired.

    2. Open Settings > Wallet & Apple Pay

2a. Shipping Address; Edit to remove any outdated addresses, add any new one(s) you may wish, and select your default.

2b. Select each card and scroll down to Billing Address. Modify as appropriate as you did for shipping addresses.

Note: Apple Wallet seems to pull default addresses from the contact card designated as "My Card" first, and those addresses can only be edited in Contacts. After editing contacts, the old addresses still remain in Wallet, but then can be removed from the Wallet settings. So you must make changes in order.

Unfortunately this does not work for me. I have removed the old address from my contact card as well as the site used to manage my AppleID, but every time go into my wallet and Apple Pay settings, my old address still shows up for each card in my digital wallet as a billing address option. I can delete the old address, go up one level in the settings, then back into the specific card and the old address will have reappeared. This is true for EVERY card in my wallet where the old address was used.
