No split keyboard????!! That is ridiculous! iPad Pro is THE device need it most!! APPLE!!! FIX THAT NOW!!!
IVe been trying to figure this out since Ive got pro. Typing on this thing *****! With out split keyboard.
This is a fatal flaw, no Split Keyboard. So you cannot hold it and type with your thumbs, which I have been doing with every iPad (including Mini) since the first one. I have been using my iPad Pro for two days now and though I love the larger screen it is unusable for me because I cannot hold it and type, in either Portait or Landscape orientations.
When I went into Settings, General, Keyboard, I was shocked there is no Split Keyboard switch like my iPad Air 2 has. This is a huge problem!!!
Apple, I will be returning my iPad Pro because of this problem.
if you change display to "zoom" view, it restores the split keyboard option for the iPad Pro. Go to Display & Brightness, View and select zoom.
ABsolutely agree. Apple if you are reading this you need to give us back splitkeyboard. I prefer to type holding my ipad pro with two hands and only being able to type with it flat on the table is absurd. give us the option to decide what we prefer. I assure you there will be many dissatisfied customers.
I don't get it! The split keyboard on the iPad Pro seems even more valuable than any other iPad, since it is so wide that it's much harder to reach the non-split keys with your thumbs from the edges. That, while holding it in both hands in "portrait-node" (vertical) which is how I often hold it.
I recommend that we all request that feature: http://www.apple.com/feedback/ipad.html
Absolutely. Everyone should submit a feedback form to request this feature be brought back. I just submitted mine.
That's a good tip regarding zoomed mode. Thanks.
However, to my eyes, that makes everything else too big too.
It also appears to change the keyboard back to where it does not include the number to use at the top, which I find to be a big advantage of the iPad Pro (one keyboard layout has almost all of the keys you would ever need to type).

They want make your experience uncomfortabl, so they can sell more keyboards for iPad Pro.
