iPad Pro dead after leaving on charge overnight

I had the same issue with my iPad Pro, very disappointed. Did the hard reset/start and now working again. Not sure how it's going to go once I recharge it though

I Have had Siri on and after charging iPad overnight it was still locked up this morning. So for me the problem has not been resolved

For me, shutting siri down didn't solve the problem.

Now I juist switch the Ipad pro off by holding the butten on the side until "shut off" can be swiped. Like this, in the morning I can switch it on, battery shows 100% and no hard reset is needed.

I had same issue with my iPad Pro, last week [Siri is on] and last night [Siri is Off] after on charge overnight.

I will try switch off iPad before a long charge.

By chance did your battery usage in settings go blank where it states how long battery was used between charges

So, We have to do a hard restart every morning??

Must be a better solution.

Is it hardware or software?

Hopefully it's software and will be taken care of in a future update. To protect yourself bring your Pro to the Apple Store and explain the problem. I think they extended the amount of time you have to exchange your iPad. If they haven't and you're within the two weeks you might want to exchange it. First see what you options are.

i am using iPad pro since two months from now, and I am facing the probl not regularly it's quite frequent. Whenever I kept it for charging overnight, it is dead next morning and I have to hard reset . This is frustrating as you want to enter password each time you reset it. I am big fan of Apple and this is something I want Apple to be taken as serious issue and come up with solution.

Same problem here in West africa ,

first the percentage of charge shown are always frozen !!! and after that , the tablet go dead till one month ! and here there 's no more apple certified or whatever mac shop ! that's bad because those kind of stuff is a huge investment

Some people in forums around say that the 29 watt USB C is better than the 12 watt ! ( i don't even try or find it yet ) >>> west africa

it's really disturbing apple come on guys !!!

Bought an IpadPro 9.7 yesterday, put it on the charger, was watching a youtube video (not touching the ipad for quite a while at this point, and it just went dark and silent. Cannot force restart it, itunes does not acknowledge it. Tried chat support but they just copied and pasted their script until I had an appointment set for the end of the week to take it into the store.

Really amazed that a device at this price point, and as mature as the iphone/ipad line is, has this charging problem.

For what it is worth, I did not have Siri enabled, nor should that be a requirement of any kind.
