Ipad Pro shuts off while charging and requires a hard reset to turn on

Same issue on 128 wifi setup as new device

So far I do not have this issue. I purchased mine directly from Apple online on Wednesday (in the UK), after unpacking it and before starting it up, I plugged it into the mains charger and left to charge for several hours.

I then opened up the Pro and set it up as new. Have since put on charge using both mains and from Mac and still no issues. I shall post back here as and when any issue develops when I give it harder usage. My model is the 128Gb Slate Grey with Wi-Fi.

Same issue here. I just got my iPad Pro two days ago and I have to make a deep reset(press and hold wake button and home button) to fix this problem.

I've been doing this for several times. I purchased a 128G WiFi from Apple online store.

BTW, I setup up it as a new device without restoring or syncing to any backups or computers.

Got mine on wednesday. 128 with cellular. Charged twice with no problem then third charge today I had to reset. Twice the battery was under 10% so that doesn't seem to be the issue.

It seems to be a genreralized problem... I have exactly the same issue! 😟

Didn't find a solution yet...

Quite annoying...

Three mornings and three hard resets BUT the fourth morning I disconnected the iPad BEFORE starting it.

It worked; no hard reset needed.

The solution until  corrects this bug?

Same problem here , i think Apple has to fix it with an iOS update

Anyone on 9.2 (public) beta ? Seems to fix the problem

Hi all, I'm also having this problem.

While I am glad that I'm not the only one having this problem, it is disturbing that this was not caught in Apple's testing of the device.

Looking forward to them fixing it because I do like my iPad Pro a lot.

(can't wait to get the pencil)

Installing 9.2 now so will let you know tomorrow if this fixes the issue

I'm having the same problem. I returned my first one and now my second iPad pro is doing the same thing. I will return it as well. The Apple Store is an hour away so this will make 6 hours of driving for me so far!

Same issues here. Although the first 2 nights the iPad seemed to have reset itself overnight (no hard reset required). This morning it was unresponsive and required a hard reset.

Same problem, each morning have to do a hard reset. I did an itunes restore. Did not make a difference.
