iPad pro screen cracked!

cant believe less than 24 hours after buying my iPad pro, left it by the side of the bed and in the morning accidentally knocked my watch off the bed table (an I watch at that!) and the 2ft drop was big enough to crack the screen! Beware as I've had 3 iPads in the past that have taken much abuse and never cracked a screen, the iPad pro is very flimsy and has a weak screen!!!!!!!!

Update 08/26/2016- Apple replaced my Ipad pro 9.7 free of charge. I asked what the issue was and I was told that the reason for the Screen breaking was not noted but Apple felt it was in the best interest for me and Apple just to replace. I am satisfied. Just wish it would not have been such a hassle. It knocked my Apple fandom down several points.I got so mad I GAVE ALL MY APPLE STUFF TO MY FIANCE. Now I have to try to get the stuff back.:^(

Your continued perserverence on this issuue has, finally, had its success!

You finally got what you wanted from all of this!

If you hadn't persisted and just gave up and stayed angry and bitter, as you were doing, you wouldn't haven gotten another new iPad from Apple!

Apple finally saw things from your situation and point of view and you are getting another new, replacement iPad Pro.

I would say Apple DID, finally, come through for you and honored its AppleCare policy and gave you the customer Service and satisfaction that you deserved as one of their customers.

I am glad you were able to win out and got what you wanted!

I am very happy for you and happy the outcome ended up being a win and positive outcome for you!

Apple doesn't want bad blood/publicity from its user base.

Apple, finally, did right by you which is what they should have done, all along.

I Have owned a total of 10 iPads, and probably a total of 20+ Apple devices. I have never cracked a screen or even dented a side. I purchased 2 iPad Pro top of the line models. 1 for myself, 1 for my sales rep. ive always carried my iPads in the same carry bag with a towel at the bottom for cushion. The iPad Pro cracked right down the middle with a heavy duty case (Sup Beetle Case) with no scratches on the device or the case. When I discovered it cracked, I also had my iPad Air in the same exact pocket, and it was still perfect. Very often, I always had 2 iPads in that spot, mine and my sons. I feel so hamstrung by this iPad Pro that the other one is just sitting on my dresser. There is nothing in me that believes that the screen can hold up to any type of pressure or simply setting down a bag. Apple really blew it with this big screen (which I love dearly) because it's not sturdy enough to leave a desk. THE CRAZY PART IS THE ONLY ANSWER IS $600 to fix a screen. 9 years of care, never having a scratch or a dent or a crack, and now I'm in this jam with no answers. They tell me it's not a common problem, but I don't believe that at all. Pretty disappointe, disgruntle, and for the first time ever, hesitant on an Apple device and will be moving forward

How long have you had the large iPad Pro?

Did you take out the extended AppleCare + ,within 60 days of purchase, so your expensive, large iPad Pro would have two years of warranty coverage and, potentially, two replacement iPads ( for only a $30 replacement fee each) in case of accidental damage?



FYI,

I take my iPad Pro with me everywhere, but I am careful with it.

I have had mine, a 128 GB model, for almost one year in an Apple silicone back case and silicone cover to keep my iPad Pro as light and non-bulky as possible and my screen is still in great condition.

I, also, have two year AppleCare+ warranty.

So, I have another full year of warranty coverage on my iPad Pro.
