iOS 9.2 causing lag in Logitech Create keyboard for iPad Pro

iOS 9.2 has significantly weakened the performance of the Logitech Create keyboard for iPad Pro. It had been instantly responsive--one of the very best features that made the combo feel like a laptop. With 9.2 keys strokes are dropped left and right, and there's a noticeable lag in the key appearing on screen. Very, very frustrating. I saw it referenced in this thread:

Re: iPad Pro smart keyboard shortcuts stop working

And I've seen a mention on Twitter too. What's going on? Has anyone talked with Logitech?

I'm having the same issue. After 9.2 update the Logitech Create keyboard on my iPad Pro is basically unusable because I'm having to go back and fix so many dropped keystrokes, rearranged letters, etc. There is also a noticeable lag from when I type to when the characters appear on screen where before it was instant. Must be something software related because it was right after the 9.2 update that it started happening.

I used the Logitech Create for iPad Pro with tremendous satisfaction when I purchased the iPad Pro and performance, keyboard response, accuracy, and maintenance of connection were flawless. The iPad was delivered with iOS 9.1 installed. Upon updating to iOS 9.2 the keyboard continually misses characters, lags, repeats characters and spaces randomly, etc. It has rendered the external keyboard and thus the iPad as a whole fairly useless for me, which is primarily as a writing tool. I have tried other keyboards and th result is the same indicating to me that this is not a hardware issue. Clearly iOS 9.2 did something to interfere with the communication or interpretation of signals from the external device. Apple, please address this ASAP or I frankly will be forced to return both the Logitech Create Keyboard and the iPad Pro to Apple as being unfit for my purposes.

To repeat, they both worked flawlessly and satisfactorily until the iOS update was installed.

I am running the public beta 1 of iOS 9.2.1 and I can honestly say I have not seen any improvement for the Logitech CREATE keyboard case at all. I have been running the beta now for 12 hours and it still misses keys, repeats keys etc.

I would say that iOS 9.2.1 was mainly focused around the MDM capabilities that were broken in 9.2 for enterprise.

Maybe Beta 2 might fix the issues we are having, but at the moment I am not holding out any hope.

God please give us back Steve Jobs.

Why Apple now makes us, we "buyers", his free beta testers!?

We're no stupids, all these problems are absoluety avoidable.

Now, updates are frequent and 90% are Corrections of avoidable problems.

At Steve Jobs time, updates meant new functionnalities.

They were rare, and only 1 decimal number.

4, then 4.7 then 5 next year.

Now it's 9 then 9.0.2 then three weaks later again 2 decimal update number... Finally 9.1

And Wow, 9.2 we can't even use anymore the only keyboard at sale which was Logitech.

But the Apple keyboard, yoopi surpise now on market to buy, and "works".

So briefly,

Logitech could better synchronize availability to sell of a keyboard,

Sooner than Apple itself for its own brand new iPad "Pro"!!!

And only today, 3 weeks later iPad Pro, this morning I received the "Pencil"...

Of course that was impossible to buy them same day, too difficult for Apple to coordinate their both availabilities.

Specially when this "Pencil" is the only real "innovation" of the "Pro".

Size isn't innovation, now it's necessary to say it.

So here in Paris we pay 1,623 USD = 1.508 Euros for a bigger iPad.

So many thanks, the way you don't even remember anymore what's minimal respect of your customer.

Conclusion; I had programmed to buy a second 1,623 USD iPad Pro for my wife.

IT WON'T HAPPEN. Because I don't want her to suffer typing each letter, the way I suffer and will stop even using this iPad "Pro"... Oh...

Now we perhaps should baptise it "iPad Amateur", "Unpro"... Unbelievable...

What's happenning these last years in Apple!!?

They don't lack money to make great products like before, that's for sure.

Agreed. Back at Jobs times the software was always perfect. Smooth and almost no bugs. Now days every release on every device is buggy as ****. ***?! Cook is a wuzz, he(she, lol) dont have the skill to push people to their limits at their work. She doesnt know how to demand.

Oh, but we have the beta program now witch is useless as we can see if this kind of thing got through it.

E cursor takes off across the screen. It just happen above. left it to see Ho fry it would go and it stopped at the far right of he screen.

So want o amend all the toys in this post but I feel blogged to let everyone see Howard it's undid.

(Nope - couldn't do it. Above line should read...)

So want to amend all the typos in this post but feel obliged to let everyone see how bad the issue is! Since these devices have an annual upgrade cycle, would it be reasonable to sugegst the cost of he pro is £2.20 a day? I may go after Apple for a refund for every day I have to wait for this fix. It's not just Logitech's Blueooth keyboard, and it's not just iPad Pro. I use a ZAGG keyboard for iPad Air 1, and it has worked seamlessly...until 9.2. Now Autocorrect has gone wild, filling in words I don't intend to write and making it impossible to type a lower-case letter after a period used in a time, such as 7 a.m. It also inserts periods in the middle of sentences, and then capitalizes the next word in that sentence, requiring me to go back and undo the mistakes. I own a Pro but haven't opened it awaiting arrival of the ZAGG keyboard for the iPad Pro and the Apple keyboard, both of which are backordered, as everyone knows. In the meantime, using iPad Air + ZAGG keyboard (which I love), I've turned off almost all the autocorrect functions in settings to see if I can get the OS to settle down and let me write what I want. That seems to be working so far.
