iOS 9.2 iCloud backup still not fixed!!!

So I've been plagued with the Backup could not be completed problem and I've been waiting for Apple to release a fix and I was happy to see this problem mentioned as one of the bugs dealt with in iOS 9.2, BUT it was not actually fixed!

Now my phone is not backed up at all after all Apple geniuses advised that I delete older backups from iCould and try again, my MacBook storage is too small to carry my 128gb iPhone backup and now if my phone dies for some reason all my life is gone with it, well most of it!

Tried backing up my iPhone to external storage but Apple won't let you do that cause we are freaking slaves and not free to do what we want, so now I hope they would finally listen and address this issue that has been mentioned many times before!!!!

I have been going through the exact same thing. Have tried resetting network settings, signing out and back into iCloud, soft reset, changing what is being backed up, and recently before 9.2 deleting the old backup off iCloud. Now I'm in same situation have iPhone 6 Plus 9.2 128 GB with no icloud back up saying could not complete and last backup never! I did manage to get a backup to my iMac but really really don't want to do a factory reset and restore unless I'm for sure it will fix the problem.

Apple please help. You have acknowledged the problem but apparently the attempt to correct it with 9.2 did not work.

I still cannot perform an automatic or manual iCloud backup. I have iCloud backup enabled and always have, but I constantly get the above error notice. I cannot do a manual backup at all -- it returns "The last backup could not be completed" and "Last backup: Never" errors. I have always been able to enable iCloud Backup, but I cannot make a backup via manual or the automatic methods for 15 WEEKS!

Please advise any suggestions!

Since I said that, I've been unable to back up via iCloud or iTunes. I tried deleting the back up as some have recommended and now I have no iCloud back up at all, so here we are. I'm getting tired of this, as it was finicky for me at the beginning of iOS 9 and has now gotten worse with each update. There's no way Apple should be convenientlly "ignoring" this. There are people out there who, if they were to lose their phone tomorrow, might have quite a problem on their hands and it needs a resolution quickly.

I did not have iCloud back up problems on 9.2. I upgraded to iOS 9.2.1 on my iPhone6 Plus shortly after it was offered (late Dec 2015). I was also having problems with battery drain and screen unresponsiveness. Since that time (5 weeks), it has not performed an iCloud back up automatically. (Separately I was having problems with iTunes) so I removed and re-installed iTunes, backed up my iPhone6 Plus, and then restored the settings to the phone (does not restore content). Since then, the iPhone6 Plus will manually back up to iTunes when prompted to on the phone, but it still will not do so automatically. I have expanded iPhone6 plus storage space on iCloud so space is not the problem. It appears from other comments here that most of the full restores have been unsuccessful so I'll continue to monitor this threat for a fix from Apple and manually perform the iCloud back up.

Have you tried a really REALLY powerful upload connection? Even at a friends place (he has 5Mbit upload) I couldn't complete the backup.

Take not that the upload needs to be strong, not the download (but usually is anyway with such connections)?

Yes. At home I have 30/5 Mbps, at work I have synchronous 100/100 Mbps, at another office I have 60/10 Mbps, all have failed.
