iphone 6 error 53 and APPLE WONT REPLACE OR FIX!

I purchased my Apple iphone 6 on januray 10th, 2015 in Dubai. i dropped my iphone in february and the top of the iphone(above the screen) got a minute crack. there wasn't any replacement option in India so i had no other option but to use that iphone and when i tried to update the iphone to iOS9.1 in November 2015 i got an error 53. Apple in india said they cant fix it here and i'll have to send it to dubai. I had to wait a month to send it to dubai and finally did. My warranty expires on january 11th, 2016. When given for service in dubai now, they're telling i'll have to pay 1240 aed to get a new phone because my warranty is void if the iphone is broken. BUT the error hasn't occured because i broke my phone(it was working fine for 10 months). I lost all my data because of this error. i don't want apple to fix my screen or anything! i just want them to fix the error 53 so that i can use my phone but they won't! and i haven't given the iphone for service outside yet! so it's still under warranty. please help me. i can't shed all my earning trying to fix a phone where the fault is on apple. PLEASE HELP. THANK YOU.

iPhone 6, iOS 9.0.2

You do not have warranty in another country.

Sure there is. What in the world does that have to do with this thread?

Philly, are u familiar with the concept of dominoes ?

Well go google it. and while you're doing that go to all the major tech websites and READ. Put those 13000 points to good use instead of harassing innocent customers who come to this forum for help. We see your rating and believe that you might help. Stop making this community look bad.

I have updated many phones to iOS9 for many people. The only one that didn't take was one that showed up with a hardware error. Upon asking, I found it had previously suffered fromm a couple of hard drops. Is it not possible that your phone suffered damage from your drop that didn't come to light until you tried to install a new iOS onto it? It is, after all, a highly technical and small device and not a cheeseburger or Mercedes. I believe you will find similar stories with Samsung and HTC phones that were so called 'bricked' from OS updates after being dropped.

No you missed the point. The unauthorized repair did NOT make the phone a brick. If it did then why did it work perfectly after the repair? It was Apple's update that made it a brick. In any diagnosis, the first thing any repair guy will ask you is if you did anything to the phone just prior to having it stop working. And the answer to that question is in this case, "the OS was upgraded". The diagnosis then is that the upgrade caused it to stop working. Oh, and I hold A+ certification so I know diagnostic procedures.

If you buy a car and the manufacturer upgrades the ECM and it stops working right after that would you be satisfied if the manufacturer told you to go buy another car after refusing to fix what it broke? I didn't think so.

Depends whether I had crashed the car first, the damage with which may show up in the ECM whilst being updated. If it proved to be the case then I would presume that it was my fault. Wouldn't be happy but I would see that it was not caused by the actual update to the cheeseburger.....sorry, car. (All these silly analogies are getting me confused!)

So your phone is working fine now?

Your statement is irrelevant.

Check this out

Error 53 occurs due to the security protocol made by apple that come along with the iOS update.

the protocol bricks the iPhone when there is a either a

1. Damaged touch id

2. counterfeit touch id

3. defective touch id from the manufacturer

if its scenario 1, then its the customer's wish to do as he pleases with the iPhone, where does apple get the right to disable it.

if is scenario 2, then for the customers's sake, i hope he/she gets it from a trusted 3rd party.

if its scenario 3, apple has to replace it even if there is no bloody screen.

I hope you can understand this now.

Tthere is an issue with touch id. people are anxious to find a solution and here u are talking utter nonsense. why would anyone go somewhere else when this situation is still salvageable. You are suppose to be helping us get this to light.

Rubbish. I know you are trying to stick up for your friend, but your arguments have little substance. You are saying that a Touch ID cannot be damaged via a phone being dropped?

You are trying to say that this is a common occurrence?

What is your stake in all of this other than trolling for negative responses here?

SO GO GET BACK UNDER THAT ROCK ISHEEP.

Ah, there we have it. You are trolling for the sake of trolling with no interest in the other party's issues. By doing that you simply abuse threads like these and lead them to be ignored by most. Sad really. Presumably you don't really have any issues but are simply an anti-Apple person, which is your right but probably best suited to a forum where someone is not asking a sensible question.

I have nothing against apple . heck I'm currently typing this on a macbook air and i have an iPhone 5s. Im very much interested on what happens in this community. I respect it but what i cant tolerate is misinformed people like u who come into forums like these and harass genuine innocent customers with badgering questions instead of enabling them to voice their opinions to bring the real problem to light.

and stop taking my words outta context. Your futile attempts of making me look bad have been publicly noted. Quote the whole post like you are supposed to. But who am i kidding ? You just exist to make life difficult for everyone .
