iOS 9.3 - Safari/Mail freezes after clicking links on iPhone 6S

Hi,

Never had any problems with my iPhone 6S. Just upgraded to iOS 9.3 without any issues. After the upgrade, I can't click links when searching something on Google in Safari or clicking a link in the Mail, the apps just freeze.

I tried clearing Safari history data/cache, closing all apps and restarting the phone (both regular and holding both home/power key), disabling all sorts of settings form Safari settings, but no luck.. Anyone with an idea how to sort it out?

I have the same problem with mail, Safari, and messages. Links work with the gmail app. Links work in Chrome but only with a long click to get the option to open in a new tab. It appears this has happened before with 9.2.1 but I could not find an answer that fixed the problem. I do not think it started until 24 hours after the update. iPhone 6s+ 128gb 9.3.

Same issue on an iPhone 6s (128GB). I recently updated my firmware to iOS 9.3.

Today suddenly when I tried to use my phone in the morning I could not use safari or any other iOS browser properly as all html links that I am clicking make the browser unresponsive. I tried restarting my phone, hard restart, clearing cache, resetting settings, disabling all third party browser plugins but nothing worked. The only "workaround" is disabling JavaScript as opening a new link seems to work, however this is not a solution since most websites don't function properly without JavaScript enabled.

Btw I have contacted apple support on twitter but still no reply...

I have the same problem with links which will not open in Mail or Safari.

I've tried all suggestions but the one using iTunes.

To me it seems as if the problem appeared when I tried to update my ipad retina to ios 9.3 but that failed due to not having an internet connection (a reported bug).

Oddly my iphone works fine. I'm on 9.2.1 on both of them and will not try to update to 9.3 on my iphone 6 until the fix is here.

So let's hope for a fast solution to this error.

Confirmed in my case!! iPhone 6s Plus 64Gb

1.- Refresh install - Factory settings - 9.3

2.- Links working. Many apps installed.

3.- 3 days perfect and links working

4.- Backup

5.- Links working - After installing Booking - THE PROBLEM APPEARS. Links does not work.

I will try now: uninstalling, back up, fresh install and restore... let see

Unfortunately I have the same problem as well.

I have an iPhone 6 64GB, just updated to the new iOS 9.3 a few days ago when you came out.

I have now basically tried everything that I could to fix this problem:

- I close all the apps and tried again.

- I tried to clear and remove all website data including cookies and other information.

- I tried to disable JavaScript entirely, but then the Safari was totally useless.

- I tried to restart the phone.

- I tried to hard reset the phone by holding Holman off button at the same time until the Apple logo appeared.

- And finally I tried to set the phone back to its factory settings and set the phone up as a new phone.

This method to worked for me, but as I started to install my apps, the issue came up again after a few hours.

It's really frustrating how Apple could let this happen!

I regret updating my phone and will think twice before updating my phone next time!

Apple, kindly get back to us as soon as possible, we need to fix this issue immediately.

The phone is almost useless without access to properly worki web browse!!

Cheers,

Yashar
