iOS 9.3 - Safari/Mail freezes after clicking links on iPhone 6S

Hi,

Never had any problems with my iPhone 6S. Just upgraded to iOS 9.3 without any issues. After the upgrade, I can't click links when searching something on Google in Safari or clicking a link in the Mail, the apps just freeze.

I tried clearing Safari history data/cache, closing all apps and restarting the phone (both regular and holding both home/power key), disabling all sorts of settings form Safari settings, but no luck.. Anyone with an idea how to sort it out?

I have the same problem with mail, Safari, and messages. Links work with the gmail app. Links work in Chrome but only with a long click to get the option to open in a new tab. It appears this has happened before with 9.2.1 but I could not find an answer that fixed the problem. I do not think it started until 24 hours after the update. iPhone 6s+ 128gb 9.3.

I have these issues on both my iPhone 6 (128GB) and iPad Air 2 (64G) on iOS 9.3. Funny thing is, I don't recall this happening straight after the upgrade. How can a bug like this appear days after a release? Apple really messed up this one. On the iPod 6th gen there's no issue, except it I got locked out after the update and had to restore it. That's another issue. What a mess.

Again huge and visible mistake in Apple, What the testers are doing? To verify, if Safari is working (you are able to click on link), belongs to main testing scenarios. It looks like the ios platform becomes more and more bugy. Where is the time, when "IT JUST WORKS" works. Hopefully, Tim Cook is facing the same problem!!!

Just spoke with Apple support. As of this writing they have no fix for my iPhone 6s running iOS 9.3.

As a workaround I am using the gmail app and firefox. Otherwise my iPhone is nothing more than a cell phone.

The tech I spoke with gave no promise of how soon a fix may be released.

What is interesting is that my wife's identical iPhone with 9.3 is working fine, as is my iPad Air running 9.3.

My guess is that my phone has been exposed to some type of malware.

Could this is this first big iOS security breach?

Same problem here! I think the problem somehow related with 3D touch function because if I change the search engine from google to bing in Safari, then sometimes it wors to click on links in Safari, but if I try to press harder to open with 3D touch immediately freeze!! Please Apple try to fix this issue very soon because it is very annoying!! Using other browser, the problem is the same! Thanks for the help..

This has just happened to my 5s using version 9.2.1....I did not upgrade to 9.3 or even attempt to, so there is something else going on here, if it is happening randomly to all i phones i pads etc. upgraded or not. It was working one minute next it went like it had a mini stroke. What ever caused it was nothing to do with any app or other setting change as I was just surfing and boom! gone........Hope the impenetrable apple software has not been infiltrated with some new type of virus. So it either seems that the big software brains have messed up and deleted the software motorway to normality and turned out the lights, leaving us to fumble around in the dark and who are we but the iPhone apple minions.Sure!.. what do we matter.

the same problem appeared yesterday and I haven't updated it to 9.3 yet. the safari crushed suddenly and I'm using a stiff google chrome now. I bought my iPhone 6 last December but it works like a 3 year old refurbished one comparing with my previous iPhone 5 which functioned pperfectly well.Feel really disappointed with Apple now. The quality of their product nowadays *****!
