iOS 9.3 - Safari/Mail freezes after clicking links on iPhone 6S

Same here. i have update to iOS 9.3 and Safari frezes when i tap on an hypertext link. Disable JavaScript doemt help or solve.

How such an heavy bug on a basic function can be there???,!!!

Well well I just had a phone call from apple support and I do have say I didn't expect much but still they seem to be unfamiliar with the problem. Although the guys was quite nice he didn't have any knowledge of the iOS system. at the point where he was asking me if I already tried to uninstall Safari the conversation was done for.

right now I asking myself why again a paid extra for the apple care program. I really have to say I'm disappointed of such bad support. Also I'm wondering why no Apple admin is at least reacting to all this trouble here in this APPLE FORUM.

I contacted apple via twitter and exchanged direct message with them for last couple of hours. I received this message 20 minutes ago:

"Thank you for providing us with those details. We’ve heard reports of the issue and it’s currently under review. We don’t have a solution at this time, but we’d like to get your case to a Senior Advisor so they can collect some data to assist with the investigation."

They also asked for my email and phone number.

I think a solution has to come from apple and they are at least aware of the problem. I will post any new information I get from them here.

This is a user-to-user forum, so Apple probably won't see your post. I also have a 6s and am apparently among the luckier ones, as I'm not seeing the same problem. If that's the case, and some 6s owners do see it and others don't, it could take a little time to narrow down what the issue is and how to solve it.

same problem, such a basic functionality to test, it a shame

Happened on my iPad Air 2 - turning off Javascript worked for Safari but still a problem with mail.

Same thing here and there is no solution for now (i have tried to disable java, reset network setting, reset entire device).

We have to wait a response from apple if they care us.

iPhone is really useless now. I can not to open any websites or working with my mails effectively.

I have 6s plus with idiot 9.3

Had an Apple Store appt. today, they had NO fix. Advised apple working on update for Monday/Tuesday.

LOTS of people having same issue affecting various iOS device.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME trying to get a resolution. Only another Apple update will fix this.

UNfortunately, same here.

I did all the resets and restarts on my iPad Pro with any result.

Renders the iPad utterly useless.

And it is not just Safari: URLs in other apps often do not work either.

I contacted Apple support today and they were aware there was a problem but apparently not exactly what it it was or how to address it. Advised there would be an update in a couple of days and offered a temp fix to disable Javascript in Safari. We just have to wait.

Yup. Me too! Tried everything and no change. Only since I updated to 9.3.

This is sad and funny: I am writing this from a samsung galaxy phone: my iphone is out of service: I cannot use Safari! That should be a shame enough for Apple to drop everything and start addressing the issue, instead of "assigning this to senior support personnel somewhere in Mumbai, I presume, since they advise you to uninstall Safari from iPhone! Outrageous!

My wifes IPhone 6S updated to 9.3 last night - mine did yesterday. My IPHone works fine, but clickable links in google chrome and safari didn't work anymore.

I found that the "Google" app could do web search and browsing just fine, and here all inks work fine - its a workaround until apple fixes the overall problem

i have the same! never had issues before. Turned off JavaSkript and in Safari it works. Finally. But still same issue hanging in mail or apps.

how stupid is this? and how long will it take that Apple resolves this???
