Full list of partners authorized to sell Apple Certified Pre-Owned iPhones in the UK?

Some people (Source Apple Certified Pre-Owned iPhone 5, iPhone 5s in Europe) previosly did not believe such things exist as Apple Certified Pre-Owned iPhones in the UK, with Apple 12 Month Guarantee. Whatever, let's get to business!

Here are three examples:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Apple-iPhone-Smartphone-Certified-Refurbished/dp/B01BVUK 58E

http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/4552451.htm

http://www.buymobiles.net/apple/iphone-6-refurbished-16gb-grey?simfree=1

Previously Giffgaff sold them as well, now they seem to be out of stock, maybe it's worth checking them later (they are cheaper): https://www.giffgaff.com/apple/phones

I'm looking for the FULL list of partners here. But if you don't believe your eyes, that you can buy Apple Certified Pre-Owned iPhones in the UK in the first place, that will not help the cause, sorry. :/

None of these are selling Apple certified pre-owned devices. They may be pre-owned devices certainly, and they may even have been refurbished in some manner, but not by Apple. Also, none of those sources are authorized Apple resellers.

Argos, for example, simply refers to them, as "refurbished" and nowhere on their web site do they say Apple refurbished. In fact I can find no reference on their web site at all as to whom did the refurbishment, nor even what refurbishment even means or entailed in their case. For all I can tell, these are simply used devices that they've slapped a "refurbished" tagline to. They also do NOT have any warranty from Apple - the web site mentions the only warranty is a one year "Argos" in-house warranty.

As mentioned, Amazon refurbished phones are refurbished by Amazon or a contractor to them, again NOT Apple or Apple's OEM contractors. And Amazon is NOT an authorized reseller of iPhones. Very few online retailers of iPhones are in fact authorized resellers of iPhones. Amazon refurbished products ship with an Amazon warranty, NOT an Apple warranty.

Many carriers do sell used or pre-owned iPhones (Verizon in the USA comes to mind), but none sell Apple refurbished devices and they come with a warranty from the retailer, not from Apple.

I can read, and I read the web listings you posted. My response stands as I posted it above. It is very clear that you have already made up your mind about this and simply refuse to listen to anything anyone (in two threads now) has said which is contrary to what you wish to hear.

I've posted my response so hopefully others are not mis-led by your mistaken interpretation of these (merely) used device sales - I'm done with this thread now.

Okay folks, here's the deal:

1. About the Amazon UK iPhone in the OP. Can you read where it writes in the product description: "It comes complete with full Apple 12 Month Guarantee and brand new genuine Apple accessories including a mains plug, Lightning to USB cable, headphones, SIM tool and a manual. All in a brand new original style box."

2. About the BuyMobiles.Net iPhone in the OP. Can you read where it writes in the product description: "As an Apple Certified Pre-Owned device, you get the same amazing iPhone experience at an even better price."

3. About the Argos UK iPhone in the OP. Ditto Apple Certified Pre-Owned with 12-month Apple warranty. Source: I asked them.

All 3 are major, respected UK retailers (Amazon? Maybe, just maybe you have heard of them, right?), if you don't believe them, sue them for providing false information on their home pages. In the EU (an in the UK, especially) you get pretty strong customer protection rights.

Also, feel free to reach out to MacWorld UK here: http://www.macworld.co.uk/contact/ They can 'back up' my story.

Seriously, what kind of low level discussion it is? Me and the facts are on one side, everyone else on the other? 😟

Now I really want gain one, just one soldier to see the truth here. 😝

If I went out to Apple or BestBuy and bought a new iPhone and stuck it up in Amazon or eBay as a self-claimed reseller, I could say the EXACT same thing as what you quote in point 1. Nothing at all about that makes me an Apple Authorized Reseller. The plain simple FACT is that if a seller is NOT listed under Apple's own web site "find a rseller" link, then are just that, i.e. NOT an Apple Authorized reseller ( https://locate.apple.com/uk/en/ ). And AMAZON does NOT sell iphones at all, but some Amazon resellers may.

It matters not one whit what they say they are or what they are selling, or what you chose to interpret their ad to be. If Apple does not list them as an Authorized Reseller of their products, then they are not one.

Any non-Authorized reseller can make any claim they wish to, but nothing makes that true. You refuse to believe it but there is NO such thing as an "Apple certified pre-owned iPhone" nor an "Apple refurbished iPhone" available from any reseller. There are carrier and other "certified" and "refurbished" sales, but none of those are officially endorsed nor authorized by Apple And whatever certification or refurbishment those non-Apple Authorized Resellers offer is purely their own invented program, NOT one authorized or overseen by Apple.

You persist in beating this dead horse into pulped glue, but nothing you have posted proves your argument or changes reality.

and since you absolutely refuse to face simple reality and admit you were mistaken, i see no point in any further posts to this thread. Bye and have a nice life.

@Michael Black

Thanks for your inputs.

1. Did you see on the Amazon UK link in the OP where it reads: "Dispatched from and sold by Amazon. Gift-wrap available." This item is certainly not sold by a reseller, right?

2. About Apple authorized resellers, in the UK. The page you linked only shows retailers. Only the US Apple home page (a separate page, actually) shows authorized online resellers (http://salesresources.apple.com/sp/catalog/)

@wegras

Thank you for your really, really valuable contribution to the thread as well. 😝

@Csound1 : "Exactly as it says, Amazon (who are not an authorized retailer for the iPhone)"

Sorry, I'm not a native speaker of English, but what did yo want to say? What do you refer to with:

"Exactly as it says..."

Not clear. Context, please. I asked before: Are you referring to the UK or US Amazon?

I said before (Re: Full list of partners authorized to sell Apple Certified Pre-Owned iPhones in the UK?): "Dispatched from and sold by Amazon. Gift-wrap available." - this sentence is written on the Amazon UK link in the original post.

"Are you a dj?"

I'm not a native speaker. Do you refer to a DJ or disk jockey? What does it has to do with the topic?
