Full list of partners authorized to sell Apple Certified Pre-Owned iPhones in the UK?

Some people (Source Apple Certified Pre-Owned iPhone 5, iPhone 5s in Europe) previosly did not believe such things exist as Apple Certified Pre-Owned iPhones in the UK, with Apple 12 Month Guarantee. Whatever, let's get to business!

Here are three examples:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Apple-iPhone-Smartphone-Certified-Refurbished/dp/B01BVUK 58E

http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/4552451.htm

http://www.buymobiles.net/apple/iphone-6-refurbished-16gb-grey?simfree=1

Previously Giffgaff sold them as well, now they seem to be out of stock, maybe it's worth checking them later (they are cheaper): https://www.giffgaff.com/apple/phones

I'm looking for the FULL list of partners here. But if you don't believe your eyes, that you can buy Apple Certified Pre-Owned iPhones in the UK in the first place, that will not help the cause, sorry. :/

For those of you who are skeptical of facts, check out these two, neat YouTube videos of Apple Certified Pre-Owned

iPhone 5

and iPhone 6

respectively (how to embed a YouTube video here?)

sold on Amazon, by Amazon. Newer models are available now as well.

Well, maybe you'll argue the YouTube videos are Photoshopped, and the Amazon listing got hacked and every commenter on YouTube and the respectful review site posted the video all sucked into the scam, and you only are the ultimate guardian of truth. Well, I can't help you, sorry.

I still love you.

Unreal. So somebody posts a YouTube video that proclaims the same falsehood as you've posted, but because their video agrees with your world view, therefore it is all true? What sort of logic is that?!

A private party YouTube post hardly is compelling evidence of anything, especially when the very company they are posting about has information that completely contradictes the claims made by you and the video. Do you believe the Flat Earth Society's videos as well?

Apple says Amazon is not an authorized reseller of iPhones, so it matters nothing, not one bit, what anybody says elsewhere, be it YouTube or anywhere else. Apple is the only one who can authorize a reseller, and they have not done so for Amazon for the iPhone.

Apple has never sold an OEM refurbished iPhone at retail, nor has ever provided any such devices to retailers for resale. There is no such thing as an Apple refurbished iphone available anywhere at retail sale. Any and all retail sale refurbished iPhones are being refurbished by third party companies, not Apple, and those third party refurbishments are not authorized, certified nor warrantied by Apple.

You, of course, will continue to believe otherwise, but you do a great dis-service to other forum members who may be swayed by your mistaken notions and make a regrettable purchase.

This page use to show Apple's authorized online resellers - including Amazon, in the US: http://salesresources.apple.com/sp/catalog/

(Check out the Internet Archive.)

Though, I haven't found a similar page to the UK (I have found one for India: http://www.apple.com/in/buy/catalogresellers/), that doesn't necessarily mean Apple doesn't have authorized online resellers outside of the US and India (does it?), rather, they're just sloppy with their website, the above link worked for a long time in the US.

Here's when Apple sold refurb iPhones on US eBay: https://techcrunch.com/2014/07/08/apples-secret-ebay-store-returns/

You guys are funny. 😝

Edited to add: Apple's communication may not be perfect, but I think now I'm getting the point. Their communication is ambiguous for a reason: the goal is for certain types of users (you, not so trusting, maybe a little bit too curious) to pay retail, while other type of users (me, trusting the system, the web of things) can get into the ecosystem at a discount (while still enjoying the same warranty and service). Market segmentation, fair enough. Tim Cook likes supply chain and price optimizations to maximize profit. (Who doesn't?) With respect to you.

Do you even look at the links you post? Right there at the bottom is the confirmation that this is NOT an Apple Corporation eBay store.

Update, 7/9/2014: We had reached out to the seller directly before publication, and asked directly if the store was run by Apple, as per reports. This is the response: “No, this listing is not ran by Apple. We are a private re-seller.”

Apple does not sell on eBay and never has, nor are there any Apple authorized resellers on eBay.

And btw, it would be illegal, at least in the USA, for Apple (or any incorporated entity) to anonymously operate any retail sales outlet. They do operate a refurbished items store on their own web site. It does not sell iPhones.

I am sure you will continue to post and spread your idiocracy about internet sellers and sites though. Hopefully others will have enough sense to steer clear of your purchase suggestions. You really are just a troll, aren't you.

There are differences in the products that authorized resellers are allowed to sell. Amazon can sell Apple computers and some accessories but they are NOT an authorized iPhone reseller. It would behoove you if you are going to pursue these supposed discounts that you as a brilliant shopper can get to make sure to get an Apple written authorized warranty in writing prior to making your purchase and confirm the warranty of the device with Apple.

iPhone warranties are also not international so be sure to also check that. If you buy a US iPhone from one of those sites you will have to go to the US to use your warranty.
