iPhone se Bluetooth volume

I have a new iPhone SE, and I am experiencing something strange with the Bluetooth volume.

The audio output is fine when I am streaming music, but when I switch over to a phone call, the audio volume to my car is horrible. It's like a speaker that's being overdriven. Some words are clear, but many others are very scratchy and distorted, regardless of who I am talking to on the phone.

I do not experience this same problem over the built-in audio on the phone using either of its speaker outputs.

I have attempted to adjust the volume with the volume keys and software volume settings to no avail. The volume keys continue to adjust volume for music, even after the call is connected, making it impossible to turn down the call volume.

Amy help would be greatly appreciated.

What zeroaxs said. I was also contacted directly by Apple Engineering -- Monday after the iPhone SE launch -- from an Austin phone number. He had also emailed me at the address used in my AppleID/Apple Support Communities.

I'm not sure what gratification there is in uninformed "calling out" of other posters. There is a thread with 489 posts on this issue:

Somewhat of a definitive statement with little to back it up when there is a huge thread with many people reporting the same issue?

FWIW, I thought this would be one of those issues which is widely reported but that I'd dodge; unfortunately on day 2 of my SE ownership I have suffered the exact same problem at the first asking- calls are horrendously 'noisy' and, in some cases, unintelligible. This has not affected my iPhone 6, my kids' 5s (x2) nor my mum's 5C. And, yes, this is the same problem in both a 2016 Mini and a 2016 Volvo XC90.

So, with the weight of the - albeit anecdotal - evidence base, I'd respectfully suggest that the Auto manufacturers have nothing to do with this issue.

Worked for me, here is what to do for those wondering what to do once the full version is released, those claiming hardware are WRONG.

If you're using iOS beta and want to go back to the current version of iOS, follow these steps:

Make sure that you're using the latest version of iTunes.
Put your device in recovery mode and restore it. If you turned on Find My iPhone, enter your Apple ID and password after the restore to activate your device.
If you can't finish the restore, get help.
After the restore is complete, you can set up your device from your archived backup. This backup should be from an earlier version of iOS.

I'm from Turkey. My car is VW Jetta, with VW bluetooth device. I bought iPhone SE last week, (I was using iPhone 5 before). I have exactly the same problem. My old phone works very well.

So, is this the conclusion? Is the reason new ios 9.3.1?

BTW: I checked the version, I'm already using the iOS 9.3...
