iPad Pro 9.7 Random Restart

Normally wouldn't think much of this but, I have a 2 day old iPad Pro 9.7 128GB that has restart on me twice so far. In the middle of using it, it will cut to the Apple logo on the black background for a minute before returning to the passcode screen. Oddly enough, it will accept Touch ID in place of a passcode, something it doesn't usually do when it loses power. Any idea on the cause or how to figure it out? I chatted with the tech support but they only help they could provide was to do a restore. I just performed it, but my concern is that I installed an app or enabled something causing the iPad to crash and it'll simply continue to do that due to the bad app.

My random restarts stopped with 10.2 but this ipad has multiple problems. The only things the techs can tell you to do is to factory reset. The problems keep changing. One time it was freezing and now pages in Safari turn white. Apple won't admit that these ipads are defective. They will do nothing except factory resets. How many times do you need to reset the iPad to get it to work for awhile until Apple admits there is a problem..They won't admit any of their products are defective.

I'be experienced this a few times myself but had written it off to "software weirdness". I'll be paying closer attention to what I'm doing when it happens.

i just ran the update to iOS 9.3.2 ! It listed several bugs that were correcte. But, it didn't mention Crashe... Fingers crossed that they also got correctEd!!

Not to be a pessimis but I've been running 9.3.2 all the way to BETA 4 and the crashing kept happening. I personally don't think it will be fixed in this update, we shall see.

They have had plenty of time to fix it but I know it wasn't fixed in the betas. It wasn't as often but it still crashed. So hopefully the final has the fix.

Wow, all this remembers me the infamous ipad air 2 "pop noise" issue...don't expect a fix before 6 months.....

This is totally unacceptable from a company like Apple. This is the worst piece of almost $1000.00 equipment that I ever bought from Apple.

I Agree with you Ashley. Now the 9.3.2 update is bricking some 9.7's. My IMac wants me to update ITunes and I am afraid to do it. I may be wrong,but I think these 9.7's were defective when released. Apple has not to my knowledge acknowledged the problems. What are they goinag to do for us?

This seems to be a problem with a subset of users, I have no issue with a grey 128gb cellular & wifi iPad pro 9.7

Do we have a break down of who is having issues and what specific device they have?
