iPad Pro 9.7 Random Restart

Normally wouldn't think much of this but, I have a 2 day old iPad Pro 9.7 128GB that has restart on me twice so far. In the middle of using it, it will cut to the Apple logo on the black background for a minute before returning to the passcode screen. Oddly enough, it will accept Touch ID in place of a passcode, something it doesn't usually do when it loses power. Any idea on the cause or how to figure it out? I chatted with the tech support but they only help they could provide was to do a restore. I just performed it, but my concern is that I installed an app or enabled something causing the iPad to crash and it'll simply continue to do that due to the bad app.

My random restarts stopped with 10.2 but this ipad has multiple problems. The only things the techs can tell you to do is to factory reset. The problems keep changing. One time it was freezing and now pages in Safari turn white. Apple won't admit that these ipads are defective. They will do nothing except factory resets. How many times do you need to reset the iPad to get it to work for awhile until Apple admits there is a problem..They won't admit any of their products are defective.

Which alternate browser you using, nick?

Another crash this morning while exiting Safari. Now something I noticed, you folks may want to check: I clicked on a link in safari and it switched to another window instead of a tab. So I checked if there was other open pages by clicking the icon (square on square) at top right. There were over 15 pages open which I promptly closed. Whether this can be a cause by sucking up memory, no idea but I'll see if a crash still happens.

I'm also experiencing random restarts as described on an iPad Pro 128GB 9.7" wifi + cellular. It doesn't seem related to any particular application or activity. A few moments ago, it restarted while sitting idle in a financial app. I haven't tried by forcing Safari closed and using another browser; it's infrequent enough that I'm not quite ready to do that. It does seem very much like a software problem; I suspect Apple is working to address it based on the number of responses. Many of the critical components used in this device are the same as those used in others, so I'd point to software before hardware. Hopefully, we'll see an update soon to address it. Anyone tried the new iOS betas to see if these might address it?

I just had a call back from second tier support. I am on my third iPad 128gb wifi all have had this issue. I have set up as new and also used backups both have restarted. He wants to send another iPad this time. I have been getting the others at the same store.. I feel like it has to be software at this point because getting 3 bad iPads seems impossible. I have tried the first two betas and they both had this issue. I just got done installing the third beta to see if it is fixed. I don't really think a fourth iPad is going to fix anything if they haven't fixed it in 9.3.2.

I am having the same problem. I had an 128 gb iPad Pro 9.7 that would randomly crash to Apple logo screen then restart to the lock screen. I immediately returned it and ordered the 256 GB Version. Its having the same problem and a couple times it took a LONG time to restart. I am praying that it is a software issue that will be corrected with the next update. It happens with Safari and with various apps. I really haven't noticed a pattern yet. It is very annoying. Apple suppost say try a complete restore. I doubt that will solve the problem. I may try if it begins to happen on a regularly basis. Right now it may happen 2 to 3 times a week.
