Can I download iTunes U on my mac?

I've downloaded the application on my phone but I'd like to download it on my mac as well. Is this possible? If so, how can I do it?

MacBook Pro, OS X El Capitan (10.11.4)

You need to go to the Podcasts view to see any iTunes U media.

As the article says:

After the move, iTunes U will no longer appear in iTunes on your Mac or PC and you won't be able to download new content to your computer. (Learn more about downloading content before the move.) You will still be able to access iTunes U content, however:

To access iTunes U collections, use the Podcasts app on your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or Apple TV, or go to the Podcasts section of iTunes on your Mac or PC. Content might be categorized differently than it was previously, but you'll be able to find content by searching for the artist or collection name.
To access iTunes U public courses, use the iTunes U app on an iOS device.

Any links to content from iTunes U collections will redirect to the same content in Podcasts. Links to content in public courses will work on iOS devices only.

You can only install one version of iTunes per operating system. I currently have Sierra and High Sierra running in separate partitions so I can reboot to test behaviour in the other version.

I went down to Explore and it has the same stupid list as the pull down menu. It appears Apple is only interested in chasing money not promoting training and education. Sad.

Hey! You have to edit the menu bar options from the top left corner and enable the iTunes U option.

Open iTunes and click in the in the little window with the up/down arrows ( the "Music" window in the picture). You should see the iTunes U in the drop down menu. Select it and you are done.

I am responding to the question above which is not answered correctly anywhere on this site. Why has apple removed iTunes U from the Mac version of iTunes? It is not on the podcasts or the Explore section as described.

You don't need to download the app on your Mac. Open iTunes, scroll to the very bottom, and under Explore, you will see iTunes U. Click on that, and the iTunes U window displays. It's the little cap and tassel icon at the top also - click on the three dots next to the icon that is displayed, and you will find it in the dropdown list. iTunes U is a part of iTunes.

…the iTunes U student experience is only available for iOS.
