Crossfade not working in iTunes 12.4

I'm using OSX El Capitan 10.11.1. iTunes automatically upgraded to 12.4. I played music on a playlist with crossfade activated, but none of the songs crossfaded. I'm aware crossfade doesn't work whenever songs are played in any sequence from the same artist and album, but my playlist was not organized as such, so it should have worked. I tried turning the feature off and on, and quitting iTunes and restarting, but no luck. Any suggestions?

Although I don't typically use this feature, you seem to be correct. Can get it to work either... You can report the problem here

Yeah ***** for fitness playlists! Was on phone with Apple for 2 hours last week, they had me restarting, using different machines, etc. Finally I said, ”Why don't you try it on your own computer - you work at APPLE, correct?!!!!” (She told me she would have to try it on her own personal computer!) I was sent to "senior level engineering” and they acted as if I was the only person to complain! And assured me as a fitness professional, they would be back in touch within 24 hours. It's now 6 days later; and no return calls. Just hung up again - no response from the engineers to fix the 'bug' apparently. I guess for now we just remember to talk when the songs change each time?! So **** frustrating. And to think how much music we've all purchased through APPLE! Everyone should get a minimum $50.00 music credit for this error. IMHO!

Yes, but isn't that ALWAYS the way it is with Apple? They pretend they've never HEARD of your problem. When I bought my iPhone 6 right after it came out and couldn't get it to sync music correctly, when I had to restore, restore, restore, restore, restore the **** thing, I spent HOURS on the phone with them. Literally six hours or more plus time at the Genius Bar. And the whole time they acted like they'd never heard of this problem before. Then I finally had the bright idea to look online to see if anyone ELSE was having the same problem and found HUNDREDS of complaints about the exact same thing. Months later they finally came out with a fix. All the while they treated me like maybe I was the biggest technology idiot on the planet and was just not understanding how to correctly sync an iPhone.
