Verification Code Window not showing up for iMessage

I cant believe this worked, but it DID in fact work.

Just to be clear in case someone else comes across this, and surely they will, especially an iOS device that is not current and up to date (i.e. 9.x.x or 10.x.x) you Do in fact need to type your password and then immediately after the verification. So for example if you password is iLoveWeed and the verification is 983-475 then you would literally need to type iLoveWeed983475 in the password field.

Now I realized that it was such a simple matter.

They should tell that we have to leave both apple id password & verification code together in the box.

Need to do it from AppStore

Then it'll link up with iCloud

I typed the correct password and It sends the verification code to my phone.

"Did you forget your password?

Your password was entered incorrectly more than once. For your protection, you will need to retrieve it before continuing to use the App Store."

How this can be possible?

This is the craziest solution I've ever seen. It worked for me, but I have no idea why it would work this way.

Thank you so much. The fact that Apple changes the UI/UX for the same action in different places is horrible. Then again iOS11 prevented me from using the I key on my iPhone so times are changing I guess.

What "problem" are you referring to? The OP did not understand the instructions that were given in the message. So, as they indicated, there wasn't a problem, just a misunderstanding on their part....

I am trying to allow a device as well. I’ve done this with serveral of my other devices but this one it’s not working. I put it in just as it’s been stated in the thread to do and still no luck. I enter Password123456 (my actual password and the verification number given) and it says it’s incorrect.

I typed password123456 into the correct field, but it’s been spinning wheel now forever...can’t get into iCloud, App Store doesn’t accept my recently updated password, can’t update any apps on my Mac... it’s horrible!

Any idea how to solve this?

And you must leave out the space in the verification code as well... not very intuitive.
