To my recollection, it was never there to begin with. In your mailbox, you select the messages you want to delete, then delete them in a group or individually. The only place where you could and still can delete all messages at once is in your Junk box, where you choose Edit, then Delete all.
I Did not dream it. It was in iOS 9 , now it is gone.
Sorry, but this feature never existed on my phone in iOS9. Can you imagine the angst of all the people who would have accidentally deleted their entire mailbox in one easy push of a button? I feel quite sure it was never an option and I for one am glad it wasn't.
Just to be sure I'm not wrong, I checked with a few people in my office just now who have not updated to iOS10 and there is no feature to delete all mail in an inbox without having to mark each message you want to delete.
Hello????
IT very much existed and I am not happy it is gone.
Thank you, I love being called a liar. He probably is a Microsoft user and got lost. Lol

There never was a Trash All command, but you can still do Select All, followed by Trash.
In iOS 9 there was a "Trash All" command. It does appear to be missing in 10. I for one used it often.
It absolutely did exist. I used it often. Very handy if you had many emails to clear from your inbox at once.
Come to think of it, as tom5e said it may have been "select all" then trash. Used it so many times I stopped looking at the exact wording.
I have an older iPad Mini, it can't run IOS10 so is still running IOS 9.3.5, the Trash All command does not exist.
It's odd that there is disagreement about this. Is it possible that not all iPhone models supported it. Take at a look at this webpage: http://www.imore.com/how-trash-all-your-email-ios-9
Look at the picture I posted.
