My iPhone6 definite had the option to TRASH ALL and it was a GREAT IDEA. BEING BACK TRASH ALL!!
I just updated today and yesterday there was a trash all on 9
Trash All definitely existed. The confusion may come from people who have multiple email accounts.
The Trash All function only appeared if you were viewing an individual account. If you were looking at multiple ones via All Inboxes, it wasn't there.
if you look at elcpu's screenshot, you'll notice it says Inbox at the top, not All Inboxes.
That makes sense, thanks for your post and clarification... 🙂
stick to your guns tom5e, you are correct, I have the same issue!!
me too!!
You do not need one more person to confirm this but... Yes, the feature existed in iOS 9. I had it. It is gone from the inbox in iOS 10 but does exist in the Junk mailbox in your account.
Yes it did exist. One of the best features in iOS 9. Makes me furious this feature is gone.
Its a pain. Seems it has gone back to :select an email, mark it, hold down move button and while holding, unmark the selected email, then hit trash. Pure idiocy - as stupid as not having this page scale to a phone.
Wrong! It existed, and I used it every day.
100% correct!
OP is not dreaming. iPhone 6 always updated and i has it as well. in the mailbox you select edit and on the bottom right it came up with the option to trash all. I've been trying to figure out how to get it back since i updated to IOS10. You cannot select all and then trash because mark all only allows you to flag or mark as read.
Since I was the one who didn't think this feature existed (it didn't for me, though it's clear for many it did), there's really only 1 way to get this back if it's a feature many want and that's to provide feedback to Apple.
This link lets Apple know what you think: Official Apple Support
t has been missing since Beta 4 for some reason in iOS 10, it's very annoying. I thought for sure Gold Master wouldn't have released with out this feature coming back.
It's been reported in the developer forums, but more users reporting it may get this resolved sooner i hope.I
