The image shows nothing, how about the menu commands to get there?
I also used the trash all, all the time. Please bring this back ASAP apple!
Correct. Available in iOS 9, I had been looking for this feature for years and FINALLY there it was! I use my iPhone for email but not my main archive, so deleting all the junk is handy, or was, with Trash All.
HOWEVER, I have one account on my iPhone that still has a Trash All option. So, this bug is very tricksy. Still, Apple, please fix this.
Hi tom5e,
I'm waiting for advice too.. Better you read this firs before upgrading http://www.forbes.com/sites/gordonkelly/2016/09/14/apple-ios-10-should-you-upgra de/ or read iOS 10 tutorials here http://iphone7userguide.com/
The problem is that "Delete All" was there in iOS 9, it is missing in iOS 10.
Select all does not let you delete anything. It lets you mark as read or flag.
Bring back trash all please.
Thanks for this trick. Hope apple buts the delete all button back. Unless this is another way to do things different removing working features like they did with 3,5mm aux port. 😠
I had this problem too. Apple Support weren't particularly helpful in solving either!
I also lost mail from inbox and it showed my most recent email was from Dec 2015. I had to delete the app completely and download it again, and when I did this the delete all function reappeared in the junk mail folder.
Yes, I know that, I think we all know that by now. But it appears that some iOS 9 users, past or present, seem to have not noticed that the delete all, trash all, function existed at all. Some even believe that we delete-all users imagined it in our dreams. I was just trying to guide them to the option if they are still using iOS 9; the rest of us who upgraded to 10, alas, delete-all no longer :-( back to delete one by one....
Thanks for that, I found it now (although as I use an IMAP account I have no need of it)
Surprise, I have "Delete All" in one of my Trash folders. So, the function is there and it's probably something tricksy that broke it between iOS 9 and iOS 10.
I bet the developers are happy that Jobs isn't around to fire their *****. News Flash to Apple: Microsoft level quality control is not a standard to strive to meet.
Agreed. I also have a Delete All button in both the Trash folder and the Junk folder. However, this function works as an "Empty Junk E-Mail folder" or "Empty Trash folder" button. It does not move emails from the Inbox to the Trash folder. So, for me, this still needs work.
Absolutely did exist in prior ios and I am also annoyed that it is gone. It is the only way to manage your inbox if you get a lot of junk mail.
This trick works but I had to do it several times to remove a notification on my Mail icon saying I had 1,700+ emails AFTER I had trashed all. What a pain!! Did the spammers pay Apple to remove the "delete all" option?!
