Mickey face not speaking when tapped

To use the Mickey Mouse or Minnie Mouse watch faces with their Tap to Speak Time feature, follow these steps:

• Select the Mickey Mouse or Minnie Mouse watch face:

• Check that Tap to Speak Time is enabled:

  On your iPhone, in the Watch app, go to: My Watch > Sounds & Haptics - turn on Tap to Speak Time.

• When viewing the time on your watch, swipe up on the display to open Control Centre.
  • Check that Silent Mode is not enabled:
    • If the Silent Mode button (crossed out bell icon) is grey / dim, it is turned off.
    • Change the audio and notification settings on your Apple Watch - Apple Support
  • Ensure that your watch has access to Wi-Fi:
  • Check that your watch is connected to your iPhone via Bluetooth (Connected + green phone icon) and that your iPhone is connected to Wi-Fi.
  • Or, if your iPhone is not currently connected via Bluetooth, check that your watch has connected to a trusted Wi-Fi network as a fallback (Connected + green cloud icon).

• Place your watch on the charger, connected to power.
• Wait for around 15 minutes (it may take significantly longer) for the voices to download to your watch.
• Test by waking the screen and then tapping the watch face.

Minnie or Mickey aren't speaking the time on my iPhone 6 when I tap they..it use to work .

Jonathan UK....THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR POST ON HERE!!!!!!!!! I was having exactly the same problem. I tried everything and each time the feature would stop working, I'd just mess around with changing the face repeatedly, settings repeatedly, un-pairing then re-pairing repeatedly, completely resetting the phone AND watch repeatedly; absolutely nothing would work. When I tried what you posted, I finally had success!!!!!!!!! To all other individuals experiencing the same problem, refer to what this genius wrote and you WILL NOT have the problem again!!!!!!

I also called Apple Support and the specialist I spoke with couldn't come up with a single thing that worked. He escalated the issue to their engineering department and I was told I'll get an answer sometime in the next week....but who wants to wait that long for a possible solution?! Came on here, found Jonathan UK's post, and BOOM, success!

What does your phone update have to do with your watch? It works even if your phone isn't even connected.

I have the same problem i have followed the turn bluetooth and forget and rejoin wifi option ans this has not worked either.

Please can someone from apple post a solution please?

I am having this same issue. I just brought this watch and already I am a bit upset. I have the cellular version serious 3 and I can’t even use the phone no one can hear me on it.
