After Updating to iOS 10, contacts have disappeared

I have exactly the same problem. Reset the phone 3 times. it comes back initially after the reset but upon usage for a day or so recurs again.

this OS update is one of the worst.

Same thing happened to me yesterday. I added everyone back then they disappeared AGAIN today. This solution did not help at all. In fact, it deleted the few remaining contacts that were already on my phone AND all the information that i kept in them. Everything is gone.

This deleted everything and now they are not coming back. I had a couple dozen contacts still listed and with you solution everything is gone. After I just got back everything by manually adding everyone yesterday. Have to do it all over again and likely my phone will just delete them again tomorrow.

None of he suggested solutions worked😕😠

This is the stupidest thing ever. Why has this not been corrected yet? It's been out for a month. ******* Apple.

Similar problem here...

I can see the contacts but search does not work.

I restart the phone and all goes back to normal for a few days and then back...
